Hi Mr. Luis!! I can’t believe this is already my last year in band, but I’m so glad that I was able to have my competitions recorded by you. You’re so much more than a videographer; you’re also a memory maker. Thank you for documenting memories that will last with my friends and I for a lifetime. We love you!! ❤ - Eddie (DBHS Senior Drum Major/Band President)
Retired Texas band director here. In 1968 I was a sophomore euphonium played when we played Army Of The Nile for competition and I even taught it to one of my bands early in my career so I know every note and every phrase in that march. The style, clarity and musical touches of your rendition was the very best that I have ever heard in my 41 year career (been retired for 8 years). I have forwarded this video to many of my Texas band director friends and they have had nothing but high praise for this performance. Cuddos to the kids and the directors for such a fine display of music and marching skill. Much respect!
As a freshman, I am very excited to have the honor to compete with Diamond Bar for the next 3 years!! Congratulations, Thundering Herd!!! 👏👏 ❤, SHS Clari
Great job, Diamond Bar! That drumline roll-off ATE. You guys sounded so good and I'm looking forward to competing with y'all in the future once I get into comp block! -Santiago JV Drumline cymbals
Congratulations Diamond Bar for such an amazing season. Performance gave me genuine chills. Always looking forward to seeing a band like you guys! :) -Santiago Trumpet
A big supporter of the high school bands in southern Cali and a retired Texas band director I really appreciate your work and for documenting these competitions for the band kids and their directors for generations to come!
hey Luis! This is already my third year in this band and i just want to say the most sincere thank you to all the things you do for not just this band but all of the parade and field band out there. You’ve inspired us to continue to grow and improve and we won’t be where we are without you. I know you probably heard these words from countless individuals but i want to appreciate you from the bottom of my heart
Thank you so much Music213! Our season wouldn’t have been possible without your videos to make us able to improve ourselves to where we are now. Keep at it! - DB Clarinet
A final season in the books, and another great video from Luis to cap it all off, thank you so much for recording this season Music213. - DB Sousaphone
Diamond Bar HS Marching Band - worthy of a Rose Parade invite. The choreograph of the rifle & flag team and band is superb. Love how the bands salute each other - lot of long days & hard work goes into their performance.
Enjoyed this full throated rendition of Army of the Nile - one of Alford's last marches.. With a strong woodwind section contributing to the interplay of melodies in the trio. Bravo Diamond Head!
