As for Maturidis, they are referred to in the narration of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم from Bishr al-Khath`ami or al-Ghanawi with a sound (sahîh) chain according to al-Hakim, al-Dhahabi, al-Suyuti, and al-Haythami: "Truly you shall conquer Constantinople and truly what a wonderful leader will her leader be [Muhammad Fatih Sultan], and truly what a wonderful army will that army be!" Both the leader and his army were classic Hanafi Maturidis. Followers of Abu Mansur Maturidi.

Al-Qushayri, Ibn `Asakir, al-Bayhaqi, Ibn al-Subki, and others said that the followers of Abu al-Hasan al-Ash`ari - i.e. Ash`aris - are included among Abu Musa's People.
Al-Dhahabi quotes Shaykh ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Gilani, as saying in al-Ghunya: "He is established (mustawin) over the Throne which comprises all His dominion while His knowledge encompasses all things. (Unto Him the good word as*cends, and the good deed raises it) (35:10). It is impermissible to describe Him as being in every place. Rather, let one say that He fi al-sama’, over the Throne (fi al-sama’ ‘ala al-‘arsh) just as He said (The Merciful established Him*self over the Throne) (20:5)."
Istawa ala Arsh (20:5) is not taken according to its literal meaning (laysa `alâ zâhirihi), and I do not know in what consists its meaning, nay only Allâh knows it'" This was written by Ahmad ibn Taymiyya.
