    Sandy,
I read the book and cried.
And I cried again. Because in the book you say that there are people that do just think and remember stories that he was a druggie.
But I feel that the people who love Elvis should look at the
    Three side of any story.
His side there side and the truth.
And I love that you are reaching out to help people understand what the book is about.
I hope by doing this people we see that he did what he had to do to do. And that was to keep his fans happy.
And there us no dought in my mind that he loved his fans.
So thank you for opening my eyes and heart to know he also like most of us were not born perfect.
And with that we have no control of.
    Thank you Sally.
    God bless.

Sally, I hope you read this... I read your book twice this weekend, the last 100 or so pages through tears... I had no idea that this guy I love so much was in that kind of misery... He really did Take Care of Business in the face of so much adversity... I also want to thank you for treating Elvis with the dignity he deserved... I've always thought that Parker was a low-life dirtbag, and this really confirms it... It seems easy to think that money and fame makes everything perfect, but I can't imagine the day to day misery Elvis must have been in... Thank you for your due diligence... Be Well...

Elvis was an Empath who would take on others pain too including his mothers... He empathize with yet he had a few phobias... boy do I understand that...The non Elvis Fans that just keep spreading the mean lies and dont really care what the man really went through... Yet do they do that with some other stars as much... Yes it's so sad when he contributed so much he deserves so much more and more respect... I think he tried so hard to be our hero and the hero of his childhood that he emulated from comic book heros... But as a grown man he was human and deserves to be respected for his gifts and his humanity even with a few weaknesses... We have to remember the times... Andcyes he felt he was responsible for so many not just his family... Such responsibility and he was never free from it...

Sally, I live in Michigan, too! I orderd your book & it'll arrive in a few days, but I've been listening to many of your interviews. I've always shared your feelings about Elvis & his legacy. I'm now, a year year old woman, but I've loved him since I was a toddler. My Grandparents introduced me. Thank you for bringing this all to light. Elvis deserves better than what he's been given, over the years. This is a conversation that is long overdo. Thank you for your work.

In your research were you able to find out about all of his medical and times he was hospitalized? Such as times he suffered and the Colonel kept from the news when he had been assaulted in I think 1968 69. I think our medical explanations and treatments have come a long way since the times Elvis dealt with this... Supposedly there were also times when people tried to poison him and replaced meds or tooth powder and Saccharin... It is not recorded or proven just speculated from others... Also he has two severe head injuries...

Wow I have had allergic reactions too Yes it cause severe itching and constipation... I have experienced myself and am allergic to that and also penicillin I have pernicious vomiting from... Am often afraid to go to doctors because they mix things up and dont listen when it is in records Elvis had too many conflicting doctors that often one did not know what others were prescribing and he was trusting too many...

I am hoping to get the book and cant wait to read it... Will be added soon to all my Elvis collection of books etc... I am a huge fan but not in the way of some... I love him and remember growing up listening to his music and enjoying his music and like everyone was shocked at his death. Yes too young to die... But my questions for you is if you have read another recent book which to me not only confirms alot of your findings and research but also adds to the Pain and suffering of Elvis and to me also the horror that started after a huge crisis and violation against him in life One that is so traumatic to me if really happened would just add to his health issues and make worse... I have many of Elvis's health issues and I am also spiritual and an Empath as Elvis was... he was much more than what all the lies rumors and Hollywood make him out to be... Many are even to this day trying to destroy his reputation as they did then too Those who seemed to have a jealous vendetta against him... We all know you do not live long with extreme stress which can cause health issues... I Supper from many of his ailments and luckily I manage it though its hard... With the depression the insomnia, digestion problems plus knowing I cannot tolerate certain things but also suffer from certain phobias have headaches and nightmares and that makes me understand him so much more... the book I just read about him just made me cry and cry read it in two of my sleepless nights. Hope I can get your book soon.. Thank you for researching and writing it...

I just got my copy and am eager to start reading. I am curious as to whether you’ve had any reaction from either Priscilla or Lisa Marie since this book truly sheds some new perspective on what happened to EP from the usual stuff that’s been written. Thanks.

Elvis has been such a misunderstood figure. With all these biological facts I hope that this is the message going forward. People should have empathy for him.

I'm confused by comment elvis against smoking hundreds of photos of elvis smoking incl cigars so. I'm confused 🤔🤔

    • @sallyhoedel
      @sallyhoedel  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

In the early 50s, when it was trendy w James Dean and others to smoke, he was against it as much as he was against alcohol. That's what the comment is rooted in.
Hundreds is an exaggeration. Even the Smiths have said he held the cigars more than he smoked them.
      Thank you

your video "Elvis Presley - The Blame Game, Pity Party and Hatred" is such a mistake,
Elvis fans - as they always did - are protecting Elvis.
Elvis ex wife - as she always did - plays the poor victim of a man who unfortunately was wrong when he thought that she would have been his soulmate. Coppola's movie which makes ignorant people comparing Elvis to the worst criminals is a shame.
Elvis is not responsible if the wife he mainly chose to divorce produced that movie, despite the fact that her project was so hurtful for her grieving daughter.
How many people are misinformed about Elvis because they trust witnesses "who were there" ? By keeping silent, these misinformations are spread all over the world.Since when a witness never lies ? Since when the victim of a lie (or worse) made by a closed one is responsible ?
No blame, no pity or hate.
Only regret that an auto proclamed expert could take such a wrong way for Elvis

I stand by every word. It is not a mistake. Listening to how people wrongly interpreted it by putting words in my mouth, is a mistake. Even defending Elvis should not be done in such a hateful, spiteful way. It is also not loving Elvis if you attempt to destroy the progress I've made in discussing his health problems and therefore his choices.

@@jessflint Do you think that bothers me? It doesn't, not in the least. They met in 1954 so Lamar was there from the beginning, which is exactly what I stated. Thank you so much for chiming in with another failed attempt to put words in my mouth.

@@jessflint Exactly. Why am I explaining this to you? LOL! He was there in 1956 and that is when things really changed for Elvis. Lamar witnessed all of that. More importantly, even before working for Elvis, he witnessed the family dynamic and the first impact of fame. Do you have more to point out? My work and my reputation both stand. My goals are to restore the humanity of Elvis Presley and to create positive conversations in mass media. I have met both goals and will continue to do so. Thanks again for reaching out.

I have always believed Elvis died of polypharmacy or a drug overdose from many books best one of yet puts Albert Goldman's books on Elvis to shame.
