Hi there, I'd just like to say a big thank you to you. I watched your video and then fixed this problem myself. I changed the pump and it now runs perfectly. Thank you.
Just wanted to say thank you mate, replaced my neices last night in an hour due to your video , was plane sailing apart from them ruddy clips , trying to get them back on again was a pain , oh n wish I’d remembered the bucket before I pulled the old one off ,, many thanks mate she’s a happy bunny , £12.71 from local motorfactors ,, had to shove me thumb in the hole n throw stones at the door to set the dog off to get their attention 👍🏻👍🏻 many thanks mate
@@FF04ORD I have trouble following Haynes etc n to watch someone else do it makes sense to me , I lost confidence at the minute with illness n CPTSD n a job like that made me happy , next the suspension front n rear ,exhaust n new seats n new locks n new wheels for my VW T4 😂😂stuff I’ve done in the past n had heart problems on March n got Coronary artery disease n it kinda zaps your confidence n you worry too much n let it hold you back , 👍🏻👍🏻
I had same problem. So I put some washing up liquid in the tank with some hot water. Hey presto it started working again. I think it must be crap in the pump gets snotty or something.
Ive replaced that windscreen washer pump twice on my mk2 focus in 14 years , if it makes a noise but no water it's still probably faulty so it's best fitting a new pump.
I just replaced mine on MK3 from 2016. Still doesn't work though :/ However, "sometimes" the headlights get sprayed, but not always, which is weird. Any ideas for me?
If you reach the point where you are holding that pump in your hands ... take a flat screwdriver and split those two plastic parts. It will be a bit of effort ... . Inside between the top 'cap' and the proper motor are just two 'blades' contacts, so do not worry about lifting it. Give the motor a few spins with a drill, and spray WD40 or something to grease the axe at both ends. I fixed mine in this way and hope it will work for you as well; if not, order a new one :)).
Thankyou mate, very helpful video 👍

Why the pump has two outlets?
One for the front jets one for the rear
