For those who have a Mac, hit Shift+Command+5 and you can record your screen, and enable the micropohone to speak at the same time. No need to download anything.

Hi Shaila, Yes, "Publish" in this case means "Take a step to save or to put on TH-cam" Saving to your computer is best in my opinion because you can always publish to TH-cam later. If you are restricted to saving files to your desktop, I recommend you purchase a USB flash drive (they are cheap and easy to find at any store). 10 minutes to 15 minutes is a good amount per video. For 1, to maximum ad revene, and 2 youtube it's harder to upload long videos. Make a playlist and add them all together

Unfortunately no. What you are describing is something a video editor is for. There are several apps that will do this for free on an iPad, and iMovie on a Mac. As for free video editors on a Windows PC, I don’t know.

You will need to use the “sidecar” feature on your Mac to use your iPad as an external screen- and then your iPad will also be able to use a stylus or Apple Pencil as a cursor or drawing tool. That’s a great idea you have.
