Is it a problem calling a PHEV which is used elsewhere except US and Canada. It is still a prime just a consolidation of calling it a PHEV instead and saving costs on different badging throughout the markets that Toyotas work in.
EV demand dropping is not true if you zoom out, Q2 was down QoQ but every quarter before that was growing before that and also in Q3! Toyota is far far behind in the EV game :/
It's just not growing the way it was a couple of years ago. Many consumers had an EV and are going back to a hybrid. Toyota is playing the smart game by focusing on Hyvbrids and Plugin Hybrids.
@@GoldenK9Campers Perhaps not in the US but Toyota is a global company, looking at markets that are far in electrification hybrid sales are dropping. Oh well time will tell :)
The name Prime is only used in the US, Canada and maybe South Korea I think so not surprised they're dropping it
