When in thought my heart still goes out to Meggie.She never could have Ralph by her side, only in stolen moments throughout her life. Ralph did love Meggie, but his ambition most of all. Perhaps he was also afraid of the shame that would follow him of he did. He never made a true choice for love.
He was a typical man. He wanted it all. Yes he loved her or was it lust. They both were so good together. Shame their Son died, the ending would be different.
