Quick note. i meant to say detached mode, not daemon during the container setup. -d detached allows the service to continue once the terminal that started it is closed.
“the extra D was for the demon” … completely derailed my mind and I was lost in imagination land for I do t know how long… only the daemon could say ;)
@@RobertMizen Sorry for not explaining myself, I just installed OpenSUSE for a NAS but it doesn't allow me to log in with the web browser, only with the terminal directly from the NAS.
Why did you create a systemd service to start the container rather than making a separate systemd .pod or .container file using quadlet? At the version of podman you are using, quadlet has a lot of nice features for managing podman containers using systemd.
Thanks for the comment, i am trying to take things slow at the start. Quadlet is good but for newer users systemd service will be little more familiar. As i look to add to this series then i will create more videos that slowly advance.

I can be one sometimes 😂
Glad you survived the experience
Is the use of sudo required actually? I thought podman could run without it
Its been hit or miss for me. Because i noticed some issues not using sudo also during the initial setup. When running then it ofc doesn't use sudo.
awesome
Thanks

How to install a newer version of podman, as the install podman gives 4.9 but I need 5.0
yum install podman -y
Thanks for this reply. Just always update using same command and update what you have

Have not used Talos before. Something i can check in too at some point :)
@@RobertMizen Thanks...look forward for the response.....
@@hubstrangers3450 May take a while, but its something i am planning to discuss more on the channel regarding containers, security and planning.
What distribution do you use to display a web manager?
What do you mean?
You just view it in any browser you like. I use OpenSUSE on my desktop etc.
