This is now a beautiful memorial for my dad (Michael J. Ronstadt) who passed away in 2016 as well as Francisco who recently passed away. Thank you for having my dad out in Alaska. He really had so many lovely things to say about going up to perform when he talked about that tour. Thank you for recording and posting this performance.
Wow, this song reminds me of when I was around 7. My grandpa and uncles would gather to play and sing every weekend. This was my grandpas favorite song. Thank you for reminding me of those beautiful days I’ll never get to have again, but I’ll always remember.
Thanks to a Mexican Composer that was born in Fresnillo Zacatecas Manuel M. Ponce you have the pri vilege to enjoy this song than more than a song is poetry.
I went to school with Michael and went to his home. I remember meeting Linda she was 16 years old at the time.I heard Michael had an accident and had to be taken to a surgeon and about that time my family relocated back to Florida and I never saw them again. I never knew he was a Musician we were both born in 1953, and I will be 70 this year I have always loved music and I am still a very active Musician I have a CD here on TH-cam: Cole Sauer "The Downtown Chronicles"
Very touching! I was seeking this song to listen to it because I’m listening to Linda Ronstadt’s book “Feels Like Home” where she mentioned this. Sorry to read the comment by Michael’s daughter that he has passed.
