in my opinion, this the best video you've ever done Adam. Your images were phenomenal, but the big victory was the storytelling and pacing that replicated the feeling of going on similar adventures. Being pulled outside, the tranquility, pushing on, the excitement, and enduring the elements with a smile on your face. Bravo and please keep it up
Absolutely blooming brilliant that mate. It was like I was on the side of the mountain with you. Shows exactly what landscape photography is all about... and those images.. wow.
Fabulous image well done. I was starting worry for your safety as the weather closed in, but then realised I wouldn't be watching your video if something had gone wrong!
Thanks for taking all of us on the journey with you. Many people just don't realize that the journey gives you time to think about what you want to produce in the shots that become available to you. I love the minimal post effects work you did with your last shot.
Man. I hope you see this because even though others might have said it i wanna let you know myself that your channel is an absolutely beautiful and wholesome thing. It just makes me LOVE photography more and more with every video i watch. Keep it going mate
I love your channel and the way you look at your art and nature. It inspires me and gives me confidence in my own vision. It helps me own my art and feel secure in finding what pleases me and fills me up. At 65 I won’t be hiking in the mountains during the winter but I still have plenty beautiful opportunities near me in Northern California. Thank you for doing what you do and sharing your journey with us. You’ve made my 2020 better 😉
Adam, I discovered what you meant about how snow simplifies an image. I found myself drawn to taking an image of a small stream in the snow last week, having walked past it hundreds of times before. Without the snow, it is lost amid all the myriad knotted vegetation and tree saplings but, in the snow, the stream stood out and I found my eye following it as far as I could see, which made me want to photograph it. I only had my phone with me, as I was walking our dog. The point where it emerges from the ground made a strong foreground element, then the stream itself led the eye all the way through the image. Two days later, with the snow melted, the stream just blended into the background again.
I live near the ocean, I couldn't live far from it, but I miss a little bit of snow and relief. This place is wonderful, the scenary is gorgeous ! A truly well deserved shot ! Congratulations !
Marvelous Adam. I know the song of the Mountains well- I live in them here in eastern Oregon. The Strawberries and the Whites are out my back door. The Blues and the Cascades but a couple hours away. The iconic peaks (Hood, Rainier, Adams) are not far away. The weather can be ferociously brutal but rewarding. Love your images. Thanks for sharing. Live the Song!!
Absolutely stunning, Adam! The images and the story behind how you got them. I agree with Paul Johnson, this is exactly what landscape photography is all about.
Occasionally there are vlogs that inspire, and this is definitely one of them. Thankyou so much Adam! Felt like I was with you every step of the way. See you out there!
You .. Sir ... are an inspiration. Plain and simple. You are honest and relatable. For that, you should pat yourself on the back and I will raise a glass in your honor. Being “human” is often frowned upon these days, but IMO, you appear to tell things as they are. This is sincerely appreciated. Keep up the wonderful work and I wish the best for you, your extended family ... and your friends. Cheers 👍
3 hour from me range from 3,566 m to 5,959 m, how high are the mountains around where you live? I live near the Canadian Rockies and the temperature here can get very near -50 C at times.
Another great vlog Adam. You certainly have a love for the mountains, much the same that I have a love for the sea. Your tenacity to climb up the mountains, especially in those conditions, is to be applauded. Loved the last image of the two lakes, it was a "Banger" mate. Keep up the good work.
Awesome video! I find all of your videos inspiring, but this one was over the top. Fantastic intro. Your genuine love of what you do comes thru so strong. Keep up the great work!
Great episode man! Jealous of that snow. I live in some truly amazing mountains here in sw New Mexico, but we're lucky if we get snow once a year, lol. That last image was beautiful.
this is great i find it motivating when i am out in the mountains photographing and get dismayed questioning myself at times, what am i doing here? because these mountains not too far from my house are 600 million years old..native americans say its a power center...actually they put you into a different dimension once your there for a few hours
Beautiful day. Just one thing, much better than using crampons is to take a pair o snowshoes. In fact, there is no point in using crampons on that deep soft snow. You could hurt yourself easily. Absolutely great shots. Watching them it feels that you do love to be there on the mountains. Stay safe. Cheers.
I live in north east China. We get snow every winter consistently. It’s a freezing place not far from the Russian border. This year, we have none. Nights of -15c, days at 0c highest. No. Snow. Waaaaaaagh. I’m jealous of you!
Brilliant! That’s what I call a landscape photography adventure! So nice being in the mountains! I do the same here in the Cascade Mountains in WA State. My only concern is wildlife here like mountain lions, bears and coyotes. I assume you don’t have concerns with wildlife encounters over there.
Great video. Not sure I am familiar enough with the paths to risk venturing too far in snow (and still snowing) conditions. Love the shot at 08:40 - dramatic indeed
Really enjoyed this video Adam and the photo is beautiful! The Lake District looks absolutely incredible like that. What is more beautiful than snow topped mountains? I really hope I get similar conditions when I head out there with my camera soon.
What a great introduction to your video, outstanding! You can imagine that I am jealous of the location where you filmed this. In this small frog country, the Netherlands, we do not have 1 mountain but VERY modest, small hills. Finally another great video of you with beautiful photos that only invite you to come to England when the virus is away from this world. Thanks for this.
Hello Adam, a very relatable and emotional video. One that resonates with me. Wonderful, I’d even go as far to say one of your best videos, with one of your best shots. Thank you 👍
You have outdone yourself mate. Amazing video. Stunning photography. Some of your best work. I teach photography to middle schoolers and If you don't mind I'd love to show them this. Your passion for the craft is all there for everyone to see. This is exactly what I am trying to invoke in my students.
Brilliant video! Love the drama, pictures are perfect, properly inspirationsl, talking of which, excellent intro, you ever considered doing a thought for the day? 😁
Great Vid Adam and great last image but definitely can get very sketchy walking in snow up in the mountains when you can't see the path! Not safe for novices like me as much as I'd love to be up in the Lakes on a winter trip.
The Mountains are calling and I must go, has been the mantra in my family for years, that is why we live in the flatist place in WI, hahaha. Great images.
Great Location, only thing about mountains is the snow is i dont know whats underfoot, and always think i have going to disappear down some hole, thing i have watched to many movies haha

Well said!

The weather was just perfect for you, that second image is a true gem.
Stunning lake image your a very brave man to go alone.
Fabulous image well done. I was starting worry for your safety as the weather closed in, but then realised I wouldn't be watching your video if something had gone wrong!
Just exactly what was going through in my head!!

So beautiful! A skiff of snow and cold fresh air. No thing better! And as usual a wonderful video and photos from you!

Lovely shot despite the challenging conditions. Thanks.
Absolutely stunning, Adam! The images and the story behind how you got them. I agree with Paul Johnson, this is exactly what landscape photography is all about.
Tnx for taking us along, nice photos. Maybe next time you can tell us a bit about how you post-processed the final image. Stay safe and healthy.
The second image is absolutely phenomenal 👍👍👍
Possibly my fave youtube vid this year, dramatic and fulfilling to watch, with incredible images to boot. Hard work paid off. Great job!!
Fantastic mate! Highlights winter landscape photography perfectly and shows such a beautiful part of Britain.
That introduction was so dramatic and well put together and your videos just keep getting better and better, keep up the good work.
Occasionally there are vlogs that inspire, and this is definitely one of them. Thankyou so much Adam! Felt like I was with you every step of the way. See you out there!
Just awesome! Breathtaking.

hi Adam great story and video, do you mind me asking what crampons you use I'm looking for a decent pair for winter.

Stunning shot mate. I'm feeling the call too.....need a break from the dirty old town....
Thanks mate. Enjoyed your Barbican images recently though.

Great location and images, mate. Thanks for taking us along!!
Great video! A skinning or snowshoe set up would really help with getting around in the snow. Love your determination and perseverance!
Absolutely epic both images!
Great video. Not sure I am familiar enough with the paths to risk venturing too far in snow (and still snowing) conditions. Love the shot at 08:40 - dramatic indeed
Antarctic video !! Captures me... enough said...
Really enjoyed this video Adam and the photo is beautiful! The Lake District looks absolutely incredible like that. What is more beautiful than snow topped mountains? I really hope I get similar conditions when I head out there with my camera soon.
What a shot! Worth the effort.
Very nice Image. Well worth your trip
Brilliant video - What a view!
Absolutely amazing I can just see your smile when that image came out of that printer :-) 👌
Take some ski goggles with you next time. Like a low light contrast type. And a ski mask. You would not have had those issues if you did.
Excellent video. Snowshoes, perhaps? They'll allow you much more mobility in deeper
snowpack.
Lovely images and inspirational video. But crampons over snowshoes based on what you showed conditions to be?
A fantastic presentation.
Thank you
