- British actor Henry Cavill joined "CBS Mornings" to discuss the upcoming season of the hit Netflix show "The Witcher." He shared what viewers can expect in the highly-anticipated new season and how being a huge fan of the books and video games shapes what he brings to his role.

I hated Henry as Superman, I was prepared to HATE him when my FAV OF ALL TIME GAME witcher got a Netflix adapt with him as witcher.

Now I worship Henry.
Henry shares a healthy perspective on being aware of criticism and praise. He also handles being juggled around in interviews very well. Show hosts have very little time and limited capacity to prepare really nuanced questions and understandings of their guests' current projects, and guests' fans will nitpick every semantic error a host may make (Herald, Jeralt comments,) which rarely ends up being funcitonal constructive criticism. Here, Henry doesn't make interviewers feel bad if they're not as passionately learned regarding The Witcher world as fans are. He instead works to respectfully answer them and then give extra depth for the fans that would like it. Henry is doing a great job handling the public role of Geralt, and I appreciate he continues to uplift his teammates and the production staff for all their excellent work as well.
For great nuanced questions from a great interviewer I wish he would do Hot Wings. I would also like to see how if Cavill/Superman/August/Geralt can handle Da Bomb hot sauce.

I like Henry's answer when asked about playing James Bond. "I'm opened to having a conversation."
He's not pressed or drooling over the role. Good for him.
He's got the best agent in Hollywood, so his name will be on the shortlist. I think it all comes down to does Henry want to be Bond?... I hope so, but you never know what the actor wants.
Thats because whenever someone said they wanted it, they got automatically disqualified... dont know why thats the way with bond casting but there it is.

These are terrible interviewers. Mr. Cavill is so gracious even though these people keep messing up names, roles, and are asking kind of ridiculous questions. He's so kind hearted and patient.
And the fact that the man replaced the G in Geralt with an H, it physically hurt my soul to hear that one

Yeah, that was awful. Nobody knew what they were talking about. It really felt like they found out who he was and what show he was in about 5 seconds before the interview started.

You have to admire Henry's courage and display of confidence in reading internet comments. If I were in his place and read some of the rudest comments out there - the destructive criticisms ones - I would shrivel up and hide under my blanket to never emerge again. I really admire and respect him for being able to not take it too personally, bc it could destroy a person. Instead, he turns into a positive and strives to improve bc his end game is to be THE BEST Geralt EVER. I was not a fan of Henry before he became Geralt. I was indifferent to him. But as Geralt, I absolutely LOVE him. What a gift we've been given!

Cavill is your normal, average gamer geek in that regard. Combine that with growing up with 4 brothers, and you're basically immune to random insults.

Tbf though most people seem to really like him. I know the things he’s in have come under criticism such as Superman and indeed the Witcher by some people but even then people seem to acknowledge that he did a good job and that he comes across as a pretty likeable fella

I love that he does what many fans from different franchise want to listen to the actual constructive criticism not the hate or to cast all criticism as hate to make his show better and his focus on connecting more to the books. I love that!

Henry is a nerdy gamer who happens to be extremely good looking lol, i sense he's intellectual and deep but with enough humility not to appear presumptuous about his intelligence, he commands respect because he's respectful. I feel like i could talk with him for hours and feel at ease that he won't make me feel dumb and i could just learn a lot. I adore the guy, he's my Superman, whether he gets to play him again or not.
I have the impression Henry is just trying to brand himself as a nerdy gamer, so he gets more following in that commmunity and thus increases the chance of him being cast in "nerd related" movies and tv shows, because there is high demand for him in that community.
@pdanderspetea Who says he actually does tha? He could say all kinds of things (he is an actor). Brie Larson also said she liked to play some game like animal crossing, while multiple people have pointed out it's clear she does not know much about it. They're actors and can sell you anything.

Being able to whip that fact about Jersey accent origins out of thin air was so impressive bc it showed how truly and deeply intelligent and well read Henry is. Like wow wow wow respect went up ⬆️
They keep cutting him off but his answers were so great and you can truly see he cares about his work.
It's absolutely amazing how all the interviewers clearly can't handle criticism and Henry manages to politely call them out on it.

What a wonderful actor and gentleman. Been a fan since "The Count of Monte Cristo". I do not have access to "The Witcher" series but I hear he is killing it and people seem to love him in this role.
Personally I am really excited that he is to become the new "Highlander"!!! I absolutely loved that movie and faithfully watched the TV series, back in the day, with Adrian Paul.
Also, he would make a great and dashing James Bond -- hands down!!😄👑💞💕❤
I've never watched or cared about Highlander but at this point if Henry is in it I will get aboard that hype train.
