lol the streamer "i fucking hate jet pilots its the easiest vehicle to fly and theyre all cocky about it" *continues to spawn in jet* *continues to die in jet* *calls hacks*
And jets are not that easy. In my option, their the hardest to do good in when playing against good players. Lock-ons are a biggest threat but machine guns on jeeps or tanks can drop your health, since there very fast, you have to find a target early and remember to not get too close to the ground. Jets are only easy to noobs who use them for transport or experts that can take an objective with them.
+ffs yep. when coming around another pilot you should match their speed or maybe less to make a turn enough to get around them, & when coming at his six, slow down a bit more but not too slow gain a bit more velocity enough to tail them. well this guy doesn't even know how to fly jets in a game, much more in real life. lol :p whaahahahahaha!
Not the reason tho. He just doesn't maintain speed correctly. You can have accelerate and afterburner on the same key it doesnt change anything as long as you know the timing between each press of the key. He is simply not good enough to maintain 310-315 without looking inside the cockpit / he is turning with 300 i think i heard him say, Which, combined with the fact that he only loops horizontaly, makes him a very easy opponent. The thing I dont understand is why he believes he is better than anybody in a jet and calls hack, macro and bullshit when he offers his 6 blatantly just because he got locked by a stinger and still manages to call it a turnhack.
ok. Soo if i make a video labeled "best house mix ever" and it's 1 hour of drum and bass, is that not a mis-label? Thats what this is. It's not my inability to be a psychic thats the problem. It's the fact that the english language has a format, and if you mis-use the format by calling something it clearly IS NOT then you are clearly idiotic and fucking stupid. It's not clear. Clear would have been "Video of me accusing someone of jetlooking" Please. Give me a time on the video in which his title matches what we are watching. Please.
enigmalfidelity enigmalfidelity well that's not idiotic, that's called sarcasm. English has a way with sarcasm actually, and it is found through context! Now you see, if you had taken the time to read the description you would instantly realize that the title was in fact a joke. Even then the title gave it away for me via the use of quotation marks. Also it is rather funny to see someone pretend that they are right, and then call people names. It would be very wise if you to reconsider your words the next time you try and flame someone for no good reason.
Sensitivity isn't a real problem. By some reason DICE added these stupid thresholds for different values of Pitch. But somehow I got used to it. And unfortunatelly Saitek doesn't have sensitivity settings like 3D pro :( Would be great to get it.
+Ben absolutely yes Ben. this guy isn't a real gamer in a sense who complains over a challenge that could of make him better if he practice a lot & understand the game. specially jet fighters. SU 27 are a bit hard to turn compared to F18 whose very agile designed for killing migs. :) hahaha why he didn't figured that out?
+Freedom1645 yet there isn't any proof that the SU27 is a hornet or super hornet killer in real life. but the hornet is basically designed & tested to do that. & has been used in air combat many times already killing hostile migs. Always remmber 1 US pilot is equal to 10 hostile migs. read it on books of veteran airmen. been reading thoae books ever since... specially documentaries, should you still argue on something hasn't been prooved yet. then make a docu video to prove yourself.
+Herbert Joseph Matulac Lol... While we have some of the best pilots and defensive maneuvers in the world we underestimate how strong russia is as a military force. 20-30 years ago we would have stomped them and yet today as our forces are being decreased and theirs are rapidly growing I'm not so sure. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for the USA but when you look at the facts Russia and the technology they have is surpassing most of what we have in sheer numbers. I wouldn't say that one of our pilots is the equivalent to 10 of theirs simply because my uncle flys the F/18's. Do I think we could beat them by ourselfs if it was country v country and they didn't have allies helping of course. But in sheer numbers the SU-25 Flanker was created to dogfight and it simply out turns out hornet which is 20 years old. So yes in my view and my uncles they would.
+Freedom1645 US military expenditure over the last decade has increased, not decreased. At the moment, it sits at just over $600 billion, or 3.5% of GDP. To put that into perspective, the United States spends more on its military than the combined military expenditure of Russia, China, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, India, Japan, South Korea and Australia. It's military expenditure is more than the nominal GDP of 89% of the rest of the world. On top of this the United States leads NATO, and has military allies comprising six of the top ten largest military nations by expenditure. I just don't understand why it feels so threatened by the rest of the world.
I cant make the jet turn like Codex_US makes the F18 turn in the video. Until now, I never knew that the optimum jet turning speed was 315. However, how is Codex_US able to maintain 315 when he is not in cockpit view when making his turns. I say too that he has some kind of macro at work which maintains his speed at 315 when he want it to. This seems to be very common now amongst the 'good' jet pilots on BF3.
When in 3rd view you need to watch angle of the jet. There is clear difference in angle if you flying with optimal speed. Normally I can keep 300-315 quite well. Its not hard after 500 hours of flying in this game ;)
How hard was is at the start? Beginner pilot here and almost able to unlock the surveillance marker thing and it feels impossible to dog fight. I take off and I immediately die in sort of the same fashion as the streamer.
no offense but idk why people say "annoying roof" if people hate getting killed everytime they go up the elevator, stop goin up there and u wnt get killed, there's no objective up there
I will agree with you about snipers, I love sniping also, but the fact is when a team has 30 freakin snipers it ruins the game, completely unrealistic in that regard so that I agree with, I wouldn't call that camping though a sniper should be at a distance of at least 200 meters in a concealed elevated position wether that be in a dark room in a building or bushes or tall grass with a bipod
Seriously? I'm flying with an x52 as well, but I use the AB to maintain turn speed and it gives me some sort of sling shot effect that isn't effective against pro kb users. Do you bind air brake to one of the joystick buttons to maintain turn speed?
I don't stream games, but if I did, and I kept on getting shot out of the sky by a superior (or hacking, though that's not the case here) opponent, I would definitely just do something else. Who's going to watch a guy complain about being bad at a game?
He's not hacking, look at his screen, he's simply using the optimal turn speed and the afterburner for accelaration. (310 I think, but I just go with the feel I don't even look anymore)
I saw you wrote you turn at 315? I read other people say it's 300 and one ace jet pilot told me I have to keep between 305 and 317 what is closer what you do. Do you use mouse or space for pitch up? If mouse tell me pls are you using higher or lower mouse sensitivity? Thanks
Pressing and holding break is how you make a tight turn. But Downbeatoff said how do you make hacker turns. Some turns are too sharp to pull off without modding the game.
Bro, he kills you several times in a row, you take off and go for them fucking tanks on the ground. Maybe you should prioritize enemy jets, especially when they seem to be decent pilots. He outplays you because he has a clear vision of his surroundings. You don't.
Yea, I didn't know it at the time but there is a sweet spot for speed that allows you to turn sharper than your opponent. Watch the guys after burner and you see him feathering it really fast. If I were in a server with this guy I wouldn't even bother with trying to fly.
i have little more than 30 jet stars, and only recently started to be able to "hang on" for a while versus 100 stars pilots. i still lose many times, it just takes longer to make mistakes.
Using an older cyborg gold here. I use the keyboard for throttle, keep turns at ~280 but the tactic might be different now... try to use your airbrake to keep the optimal turn radius during flat turns or low yoyos, use AB during immelmans and loops, more or less... i still need to polish it
Ss using a technique where you use the afterburner then slow down as fast as you can while turning, it generally works if your against a jet and to break the locks get 'below radar' perk
1. Add Origin.exe as non-Steam game; 2. In the Steam library create a desktop shortcut for Origin; 3. Steam overlay will work only if you run Origin via that shortuct.
I didn't saw official system requirements. But game engine was released in 2010 and its DX9 based. So I guess it should run quite well on 2 years old computers.
max turn speed is at 315 feet per second. Yes DICE uses fps for jet speeds, and i know how silly it is for jets to be turning like this at such a low air speed, but you have to realize the realism sacrifices made to make a workable game. Anyway, to confirm, check G meter in lower left corner of HUD of jet. G is G force, the higher, the tighter the turn. The killing pilot does that the entire time, but also does thing such as lag rolls and high yo-yos that allow you to get behind a jet easily.
If you guys want to fly a Jet, One of the first things you should take in mind is the HUD withing the Jet. The Left number box represents your speed (very important for cornering/ turning) and the left box is for altitude. I hope you people know that, within Battlefield 3, Turning at a speed around 315 knots (and keeping it there by either braking or repeatedly using /AB/) will give you maximum G's. A.k.a. You're turning at maximum potential. Look at the F-18's Speed box.....He's not hacking.
Are you talking about them shooting afront of wheir their target is going? They do that because unlike in CoD bullets have travel time in this game and if you were to shoot straight at them they wouldn't hit him because he's going to fast for those bullets to be right where you aimed when they hit.
TBH Oshi seems to be presuming that Codex is doing the same manoeuvres as he is, ie turning on the same line of flight. Clearly Codex is looping up and back down so the angle of attack is changed but ultimately ends behind Oshi. Be all and end all is that I wish I had half the skills of Codex :)
The hack to me most likely is the cannons. They are both doing a hard turn and at good speed yet the US jet is still able to hit the target by the crosshair, he didn't need to aim higher anymore.
the F-18 seems better than the flanker normally. And yeah, if you were both keeping around 300-315, there's no legit way even an F-18 can out-pitch your Su-35, coming back down from the vertical loop.
no this isn't what happens to me sometimes. I am playin on ps3 and sometimes I get into a jet, just going behind the enemy, and THEN he just slows down on the radar very bit, and turns around 180 degrees! Like a tank, just faster! I dont get it -:(
I prefer the F-18 too, because it's smaller, more nimble, has a nose-mounted cannon, and has small wings so flying low won't mean you will hit something unlike in the Airbus Su-35. However, when we're talking statistics, the F-18 and the Su-35 both perform exactly the same. Good jet pilots will be able to fight equally well in both, but I gotta say that the F-18 is indeed better overall.
To be honest it's easy to get behind your jet pilot and spray the back of those engines or the back of the jet and I does very good damage.I don't see the hack
Damn right. Although, the biggest difference between BF3 and Arma, is the most obvious. Infinite ammo, maybe with reload times or overheating, but still the most unrealistic part of both BF3 & BF4. In today's war games, they traded the original realistic gameplay (BF1942) for the realistic graphics (BF3, BF4).
So you ARE a macro pilot? One-button turn? Or how do you do these insane turns? I fancy myself a decent pilot, but there's these guys out there that turn like you do and it is literally impossible to do these kind of turns for me. I've tried high sense. I've tried looping. I've tried speed control.
No, but I'm starting all of my games through Steam to have chat overlay everywhere. If you'll add Origin.exe to Steam library you'll get overlay there.
I sympathize. I have seen someone who was actually a friend of mine with tracer fire coming out of the top of his cockpit (ie 90 degrees from his plane and hitting a jet he was flying paralell with. Also the people that can hang the jet in the air without stalling almost using the hornet like a vtol. I know the game is very messed up when it comes to jets but there is no doubt that people buy the hacks for the jets alone.
No, I'm not. There's a difference between being able to look around while flying straight and being able to look around while turning. In real dogfights, you're able to move your head, as opposed to BF3 where your head is locked in one position while you're turning.
Yeah, I've no idea how to actually 'pull off' scissors, or if I'm even doing anything close to it anyway. I'm a decent pilot by pub standards, but I still get shit on by a good pilot. Jets have confusing terms when I hear them, doesn't help that it's in a 3D space either.
Everyone is talking about turn speed....The "hack" is you don't just turn....Its various low an high yo-yo's.It's basically the arcade style since bf3 isn't a simulator of the actually "Boom an Zoom"...BMZ is more effective in this sorta game then "Drag an Bag" the endless turning dogfight style.
The only thing that makes me rage as a newbie BF pilot is joining a "practice" server to have people so incredibly good (pub stompers I guess), you don't stand a snowball's chance in Hell of surviving long enough to get any practice in.
sony vegas я неплохо знаю, меня интересует конкретно действия с твичем. то есть ты просто записал видос от себя, а затем случайно нашел на твиче своего противника, или вы заранее договорились или как?
i totally agree.... i dont get it at all. HOW do u make turns with those ridiculous speeds? its like switching the side of a mirror. u look at normal guys doing turns compared to these turns its focking incredible. i think they should do a whole new patch just to improve realism to the flying and making those turns impossible.
Not true. The Superhornet and the Flanker have identical stats ingame. The only slight difference is, that the su35 is larger and slightly easier to hit.
spartan206 youre pretty special yourself lol, if people misunderstand a simple title, then the title is a big fail, just because your accidentally "understood" the title doesnt mean shit, because no matter how and what you write, ppl might understand, doesnt mean its correctly or good written.
At 3:50 in 1st person view you notice his air speed stay between 314-318. He also maintains this while staying in 3rd person without knowing his air speed. Clear hack
I'm sorry but, to me, it does look like the guy doing the killing is using some sort of automated speed control on his plane because there's no way in hell he could control his speed so perfectly without reading it and also while having to concentrate on chasing the jet in front and shooting. I am very convinced that too many people on BF3 are using hacks to control speed on jet to get the shortest turn radius. How many times I started doing constant loops, the tightest possible, at the best speed possible (controlling speed from the cockpit) and these guys will almost instantly kill me... How can they even turn as tightly as I am turning if they're not even looking at the speedometer (unlike me)?
good jet pilots dont need to look at their speed to make perfect turns. after a lot of practice it just becomes muscle memory as to the rhythm of the brake (and throttle for vertical loops) to get the speed perfect. PRO TIP: find an empty server and just practice your speed control in horizontal and vertical loops for a minimum of an hour (i know, it sounds boring). start with first person (to actually see your speed) then do third person, checking your speed in first every once in a while. then hop into a pub and you will be happy you did. Keeping your speed between 300 and 315 is 75% of what goes into dog fights, the rest is skill and maneuvers
euheide the 2 minute mark still had me scratching my head tho. dude goes in full descent, almost crashing his jet, climbs to allign himself perfectly for the killshot without even using his afterburner. dude has obvious experience flying jets in bf3 switching like that but that still was a WTF moment to me
hey, one question, do you live in the US or Russia, cause I've seen you answer a comment in Russian and noticed that you speak it fluently so I was just wondering :)
I don't see any hacks. I thought it was already obvious that the ideal turning speed is 313-315? You can clearly see that the other jet is turning much faster because he keeps the right speed.
lol the streamer "i fucking hate jet pilots its the easiest vehicle to fly and theyre all cocky about it" *continues to spawn in jet* *continues to die in jet* *calls hacks*

"It's impossible to get behind me that quickly"
He's using afterburners on horizontal loops, any semi decent pilot could tail him as his speed sucks.
+ffs yep. when coming around another pilot you should match their speed or maybe less to make a turn enough to get around them, & when coming at his six, slow down a bit more but not too slow gain a bit more velocity enough to tail them. well this guy doesn't even know how to fly jets in a game, much more in real life. lol :p whaahahahahaha!

"Easiest vehicle to fly" I had a good laugh at that one.
Its like doing an exam without studieng
i dont see the hacks part...looks like a normal turn to me
No hacks, he's just a better dog fighter.
+John Schneider The guy talking was the streamer, not the guy who posted this.
Are you like his friend or something? Defending his dumb inability to label and title things properly? hahaha seriously...
enigmalfidelity Actually it's pretty easy to see what he meant. I'm more worried about your "dumb inability" to understand such a simple thing

exactly, all you do is alternate afterburners and air brakes, you get very high air speed, and a (small) turn radius.

one question, how do you do so much dmg with hat canon ?
Top center of the plane does most damage, aim for that
Also, good aiming helps. If you hit every shot in a burst, you're pretty much guaranteed a kill.
No guys, the way to turn really fast is to keep your speed (top left box) between 300-320, but 313 is the sweet spot.
The hack to me most likely is the cannons. They are both doing a hard turn and at good speed yet the US jet is still able to hit the target by the crosshair, he didn't need to aim higher anymore.
no hacks
the F-18 seems better than the flanker normally. And yeah, if you were both keeping around 300-315, there's no legit way even an F-18 can out-pitch your Su-35, coming back down from the vertical loop.
You can tell its a joystick, his turns and rolls are smooth as heellllll. I use a joystick, and it looks exactly like that.
no this isn't what happens to me sometimes. I am playin on ps3 and sometimes I get into a jet, just going behind the enemy, and THEN he just slows down on the radar very bit, and turns around 180 degrees! Like a tank, just faster! I dont get it -:(
where I get this hack??
lol he probably reduced his speed to 315 making a sharper turn
I prefer the F-18 too, because it's smaller, more nimble, has a nose-mounted cannon, and has small wings so flying low won't mean you will hit something unlike in the Airbus Su-35. However, when we're talking statistics, the F-18 and the Su-35 both perform exactly the same. Good jet pilots will be able to fight equally well in both, but I gotta say that the F-18 is indeed better overall.
I always come back to this video when I need a smile and a laugh. Thanks Codex
do you use custom tweaks or just defaults?
To be honest it's easy to get behind your jet pilot and spray the back of those engines or the back of the jet and I does very good damage.I don't see the hack
this is the different betwen arma and bf4 or bf3. you can turn your jet like that ,but you can't do that in arma or real life.
bf3 and bf4 aren't sims
The hornets have a sharper turn radius by default
Did you never hear about airbreak?
He's got some sick manoeuvring skills
In real dogfights, you're able to move your head, as opposed to BF3 where your head is locked in one position while you're turning.
wasnt it 315?
how did you get the video ahah
I can't post links in comments so please ask google for: rolling scissors wiki.
I haven't played bf3 on pc yet... I thought it wasn't on steam though...
It's on origin rather than steam
If you run Origin via Steam - you'll get overlay in Origin games ;)
u stole my facebook profile pic JK
Xedoc Oh that explains it 😂 Thanks
i dont see any hax. keep ur speed at 310 and bind pitchup to spacebar and you can do the same turns
How are you playing this game with steam????
wtf is steam doing at the end ??
+mohamed chaaban You can add any game to the Steam. And you can get Steam overlay in BF3 if you add Origin to the Library.
+mohamed chaaban Origin's overlay must be disabled and you have to run it via Steam's library
Xedoc oh i see okay
The only slight difference is, that the su35 is larger and slightly easier to hit.
after you watched the video, youre supposed to see what he did, why do you need to make a stupid fake title to call it a hack?
+manbolo2 when you read the title you should notice the quotes. And BTW the guy accused of hacking is me :D
+manbolo2 You're special.
sewagii It's pretty obvious what the title means though.
sewagii All i'm saying is that if you mistook the title for a different meaning, then that's your fault. I knew what it meant the first time I saw it
spartan206
youre pretty special yourself lol, if people misunderstand a simple title, then the title is a big fail, just because your accidentally "understood" the title doesnt mean shit, because no matter how and what you write, ppl might understand, doesnt mean its correctly or good written.
"So fucking cocky about it"
WTF? You gave him honest advice rather than simply saying smth like "get good scrub" :P some ppl...
I would say he is using a nice joystick.
there is one jet in bf3 who can hold L2 and slow down and hover and turn around.
Damn, that guy is fucking boss with that jet.
what is the trick?
Thx!
At 3:50 in 1st person view you notice his air speed stay between 314-318. He also maintains this while staying in 3rd person without knowing his air speed. Clear hack
That's a very good vid bro :) in fact you use real jet fighting techniques as I've just seen right? Any tips for your speed? How do you control it?
if jets are so easy to fly why does the streamer suck so bad at it.
The uploader of the video is the person who got the kills, not the person talking.
I'd ike to see you try to pull the same shit in DCS World. Watch you'll get blown out of the sky before you know it.
Horizontal 313 is the right speed. But those barrel rolls are really good tips! I'll start applying them on my next match. Thanks, codex. Great video.
I dont miss the BF3 camera shake at all. That shit is the most annoying visual in the world.
I heard that the F-18 is more maneuverable than the Su-35. Anyone noticed that?
Keeping your speed between 300 and 315 is 75% of what goes into dog fights, the rest is skill and maneuvers
mikerich32 Thanks for the tip man! :)
euheide
the 2 minute mark still had me scratching my head tho. dude goes in full descent, almost crashing his jet, climbs to allign himself perfectly for the killshot without even using his afterburner. dude has obvious experience flying jets in bf3 switching like that but that still was a WTF moment to me
Personally I do not have to watch my speed, I just do it by reflex
Because they're not turning tighter. They're pulling maneuvers on you. Look up high yo yo by hylianchriss, and you'll learn exactly how it works.
hey, one question, do you live in the US or Russia, cause I've seen you answer a comment in Russian and noticed that you speak it fluently so I was just wondering :)
I don't see any hacks. I thought it was already obvious that the ideal turning speed is 313-315? You can clearly see that the other jet is turning much faster because he keeps the right speed.
