Except for the part that is sung in portuguese, there is nothing portuguese about it. The stile is most certainly not portuguese and those "spanish flamenco claps" make me want to vomit!

This is a gem in these troubled times...people will appreciate and support the tranquility, tenderness and love this song conveys. Fireworks and glitter and other stereotypical fake songs is not what the world needs right now. I am very grateful to Portugal for keeping its soul and identity and don't give a shit to the conventional formulas of "guaranteed success" that other countries use. BRAVO!!!

Those stereotypical fake songs, full of glitter and fireworks, I call them "bubble-gum songs" (they may have a nice flavor in the beginning, but it don't lasts long and don't have much "nutritional" value)... [We already have too much of that in mainstream radio!]
I don't know if this song will have a good or bad result in the Eurovision contest. But I am proud that my country keeps sending "songs with some genuine Portuguese Identity" to the Eurovision. (Adding variety to that show!)
It may have taken more than 50 years for Portugal to win the contest, but at least, when we won (in 2017) we "did it our way"!

Some fans are saying this won't make an impact in Eurovision, but they probably said the same about Barbara Pravi and Salvador Sobral. She has almost more views than Black Mamba, and their video has been around for more than a year. If having over 700 000 views, and over 600 000 streams is not making an impact, they really need to review their concept. This is a contender in May.
If it won't impact, that's a good sign. No need for rescue

I love that the portuguese language has this beautiful word "saudade" and its unique meaning, love how they played on the concept of the song, well done Maro!
"Saudade" doesn't means "lose belief" as some people translate ! "Saudade" is the feeling to remember something or someones we miss can be a person, a place, a situation, a moment. Is impossible to translate because is deep in the Portuguese Soul connected with the navigator sailors travelled around the world and they doesn't know if one day will came back to see their family, their home land ... One simple word for multiple and strong sentiments ;-)

Alguém no Brasil falou de fado techno, não é. Tem reminiscências do folclore da Beira Alta, mulheres a cantar em harmonia em torno de uma voz, no lugar das palmas seriam adufes.
