I’ve given two and a half hours to this audiobook. It’s well narrated (best feature so far), superficially likable with promising characters but dated, slow, very predictable, legally questionable and emotionally quite flat. I’m not captured yet keep waiting patiently for something, anything at all to ignite my excitement. It’s…. competent. As if the skills are present but coasting in neutral and slowing to a near stop. It’s such a familiar story that I’m either going to be quickly amazed at such a great recovery or I’ll put it down for good.
"dated" as a notable criticism? Haha. If that's some kind of marker then you have not read the most outstanding and noteworthy writers throughout the history of the written word. Huge loss to any serious reader of literature, much less simple current fiction for light entertainment of the masses including the many who only read 1 book a year on summer vacation.
You clearly don't have a sense of literary intelligence... That's okay not everybody that listens to these books is as smart as I am. You'll figure it out or you will go back to Nancy Drew. In fact, I suggest it.
Hello. To people commenting here who still have a few brain cells left, I'd like to recommend an audiobook. It's a superb, soothing reading, by a real actor, on a channel called 'Kiffsniff', of 'Stephen King's' '11.22.63'. IMO it is written by 2 writers, and sags badly, in the middle. But you won't forget it. It's like entering another world. The writing is often vivid, and stunningly good. It also gave me happy dreams. I was lost when it ended. I warn you: the part just before the ending is the most terrifying thing 'Stephen King' ever wrote. May I suggest that, after you listen, you read the long paper by Miles Mathis, 'The Hidden Kings', which will take you closer to the truth? Happy sleep drifting. Enjoy.
I have macular degeneration and cannot read books. It is frustrating when an author has an audiobook which they don’t complete so that you have to buy the book. It makes me very angry.
The Prosecution doesn't have a murder weapon. This is a major plot failing. The prosecutor only uses an emotional argument and circumstancal "evidence."
I just started the book, but I think that the narrator is absolutely fabulous. He is capturing the personality of the book perfectly.
😅
Yes, top of the line narrator. A phone book would become captivating with this fellow narrating.
James Patterson is my favorite author and he hit the books again
An exciting story, excellent narration and sound quality. Thank you.
The NARRATOR made this "audio" the success it is.
When he did the "DEEP SOUTH" bit... totally lived it....!!!
this blokes voice makes me sleep ❤
He says the mom was a Cub Scout Leader, my mom back in 1965 was referred to as a Den Mother.
Enjoying this book thank you 👍👍👍👍👍❤️

Down for good.
I agree.
@@bushal1 Ha ha ha! It really depressed me. (And I'm a lawyer.)

@@doreekaplan2589 How embarrassingly patronising. And great literature does not date. You clearly do not know what the word means.
Brilliant reader. Thank you. Exciting story. Lovely escapist experience 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Love the characters and the dynamics..

Oh dear, 40 minutes into the book and it is still building a story! A thriller? A boring beginning. Hope it moves along soon otherwise must move on.

This book is fantastic
I truly thank you for the upload

No ads but where's the end????
There's a part 2
No sense bothering with this if there is no part 2.
There's a part 2
Brown Deborah White John Clark Cynthia
👍👍
Where can i find part 2
Kevin Stillwell, narrator.
I love this guy's narration!
Too many very unlikely scenarios, ridiculous
The book is entertaining snd the narration excellent but the constant interruption of so many ads makes it impossible to keep listening.
no sound last 40 minutes . What happened at the end
Maybe go to part 2
This is a great book but so many ads 🙄
🙂
Too many ads! The story isn't worth suffering through all the ads.
The ads are from TH-cam, not the channel
TH-cam Premium has no ads
@WhyPentecostal have you never uploaded a video to TH-cam before? It is absolutely the channel that sets the parameters for the ads.
Brave browser. No ads.
It's your TH-cam. You need to get premium TH-cam and then no add.
@alig-cc3st sounds like a plan! I'll do that as soon as you pay for it. 😉
In fact if you want to really sound British replace all those R's with the sound wh..
As in Rumble would be pronounced thusly: Whmble. YW
No sound for the last 40 minutes, just static. I've invested 7 hours in this, I'm beyond annoyed
There is a part 2
Depressing story. Not for me
The Prosecution doesn't have a murder weapon. This is a major plot failing. The prosecutor only uses an emotional argument and circumstancal "evidence."
Good reading; awful book.
Far too many ads. Pass on this one!!!!
Ridiculous amount of adds.
It’s not the full book??????👎
Part 2
To many ads🤮
Sorry but can't enjoy this narration.
Why apologize?
I've enjoyed this book and look forward to listening to part two. I especially like jury/lawyer books
I'm so glad I found this book.
