This is a stage model I made of Wicked the musical. This model was built to be 1:12 scale, and included lots of 3D printed details. The model was automated with tracks and fly bars to move sceneries. In this model I used a combination of actual theater lighting equipment and miniature led lights. The lighting was controlled by DMX signal.

My family just visited NYC recently in February and got to see me and my brother’s first Broadway show! The Oz Head has got to be my absolute favourite part and even if it was scary it was so good! 💚

Where do you even begin on a model of this size?? Do you pull information from the set designer's drafting, or is it all your own tinkering?
