    Watch this webinar recording we did with Aaron Brown. In this presentation, Aaron will cover the basics of mouth shapes, several different ways to rig a mouth for lip sync and then he’ll walk through the actual synchronization with audio. Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session.
    About the presenter
    Aaron grew up watching animation from around the world. He began his career as a digital illustrator in 1999 and soon taught himself to animate in Flash. Flash opened the door to video game development, and Aaron worked on projects for clients like LucasFilm, Marvel and LEGO throughout the 2000’s. In the past 10 years Aaron has returned to narrative animation and produced shorts for clients including PBS, Pixar, Disney and Warner Bros. Today he is building his own startup animation studio, AB Positive, which will release two short films in early 2023 and begin production on an animated series.

    Ever since I switched from after effects to Moho, I have been so happy. One of my biggest problems with after effects is it takes so much ram. And it's so limited to scripts and plugins. The best part in Moho is animating stuffs like hair using bone dynamics and wind. That's just insane, something that will take you hours to do in after effects because you need to animate them frame by frame.

      Oh, yeah, same here...omg...I really love AE for mograph and composing, but it is just the right tool for characters. Even with the latest Duik Angela and a Really Really fast machine with Lots of RAM, it just slows down to a point where you lose all your creative flow and just wait for it to do the thing...Or even with great scripts, like Limber you are sooo limited in terms of complex rigs and character movement. I'm really surprised how much people went on doing characters in AE or Animate or Character Animator (lol) that are just a joke compared to what Moho can deliver...

      Welcome to the group of Moho Alcoholics Anonymous! 😅 I guarantee you will never look back to AE for character or organic movements. Also as you go ahead w Moho you will find yourself raising the question inside: how the f... could you tolerate that nonsense workflow we used to rig with Duik and Limber and Create null from paths and pins and the everything slows down af n stuff. Maaagic 🤓😅 And then booom cames Moho and character animation becomes a pleasure not a frustration.

    Insightful. Only wish you'd showed a little demo on how you created the mouth shapes and ensured they weren't messed up while using the initial 4 smart bones you created.

    how do you label the smart bone dial in an arc, as you have for the phonemes?

    • @domsun2119
      @domsun2119 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think there is no Script for this, so I explain U my way: to be accurate and as an orientation I make a new vector-layer and draw a circle around the bone. Then I Use the Text-Tool to write down the phonemes. Don T forget to hide These layers in the Film via the layer-menue: "Don T Render this layer".

      @@BigJerkNetwork This is a little late, and I don't know if you've figured it out. But, to add to Domsun's comment, you can "Split" points. Create a circle, select all points, then "Split" them using the button above.

    When is Moho going to add face and mouth tracking like Cartoon Aminator 5???? So much better to have auto face expression and mouth movement scanning a real actors face than this. Please add it.
