    In Episode Two Phil breaks down the movement systems you need to survive at -40, adding in tips from his own wealth of experience and giving real world examples of how to use Skis, Snowshoes and Pulks (Sleds).
    Before launching the Spine Race, Phil Hayday-Brown completed a number of expeditions and races in the polar regions, helping organise the first race to the South Pole since the 1911/12 famous race between Scott and Amundsen.

    ARCTIC SPINE: 293-miles from Abisko to Hemavan. The time limit is 228 hours and is arguably the toughest expedition race in the world.
    ARCTIC CHALLENGER: 129-miles from Abisko to Kvikkjokk. Designed for experienced expeditionists, competitors will have 120 hours to complete the race.
    ARCTIC EXPLORER: 66-miles from Abisko to Nikkaloukta, with a time limit of 84 hours. This race includes a required 3-day pre-race training course.
    ARCTIC SPINE TRAINING: A 3-day cold weather training programme purposefully designed to enhance your skills so you can compete in the extreme cold with confidence.
