    There are interesting and exciting abandoned objects and locations all over the world, and we've covered many of them on this channel before. Most of those objects and places are comparatively small. We always need land to build on, and so when an enormous building, area, or object becomes obsolete, it's usually demolished to make way for something new. As with everything though, there are exceptions to that rule, and so today we're looking at some of the most incredible large-scale abandoned locations in the world!

    Awesome video!
    I live in Jersey channel islands. The bunkers are open to the public, with the exception of a few that are unsafe.
    They are used for open days and field squadron training too.
    Very rarely they are sold too!

    I use to help my great uncle tend his bison herd at Fort Igloo before he passed away... lot of fond memories there. The railroad scale still operated, and my gosh was it ever accurate. I stood on it and he got my weight down to the ounce on the analog measuring bar! Fired my first gun out there, too, among some of those buildings. Though, I’ve been sworn to never, ever reveal that one infamous power outage that hit the Hills occurred because of a pet raccoon that got into the power lines there in the 80s... oops.

    I'm somewhat aghast at the scope of huge abandoned places in Communist countries in Asia. China has the one mentioned here, as well as a large, fairly modern, incomplete _city,_ whose streets are being torn up by farmers to clear the way for growing crops. North Korea has a huge, modern-looking hotel that's mostly empty. Maybe it's comforting to know the Communist governments are just as capable of wasting massive amounts of money, just as democracies? Stay safe, everyone.

      As it was located underneath an artificial lake, probably not, as the lake had probably dried up after being abandoned.

    • @trollanonymously2434
      @trollanonymously2434 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mauritsvw That's weird logic. Artificial lakes don't need constant watering to sustain them. As long as there's decent rain in the area it will persist.

      @mauritsvw 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trollanonymously2434 Depends on the catchment area of the lake. Chances are that an artificial lake was fed artificially with water. Same as abandoned swimming pools. Only some dirty water on the bottom from rain.
