My Legion Go is also my PC of choice. If I need a big screen I just hook up my Xreal AR 2 Pro glasses and their Beam unit. It all gives me a 330 inch screen! Lots of work space.
It‘s amazing for that! I use it when I am on downhill skate trips. I can pop out the sd card from my go pro and just insert it into the legion go and start editing videos on the passenger seat while my buddy drives us to the next skate spot. when we arrive home, most of the work is already done.
Ok this might not be a perfect device to edit videos, but do you all see the amazing in this? Literally editing a video on a portable console running windows, this was not possible 5 years ago and the macbook was already on the market. This is amazing!
Incredibly nice ! As a sound engineer I guess I can use Protools aswell as a highly portable device to mix small projets while traveling ! Definetly gonna buy that.
Hi man great video. I got a question, Iam a videographer and editor, mostly i edit video for tiktok or ig reels and shoot it with iphone or sony apsc camera in 4k60. Do you think legion go will work well? Thanku
Do you have an update on this? Have you done a whole project on it? I have a GO but have been having desktop issues and want to set it up as a backup in case I need to get my PC serviced. Would this out perform a 2017 Mac book pro? What adapter are you using to get it to the monitor?
@@kdubspencer3390 only thing I was disappointed with was when I found out it doesn’t support the smart pens but now I just plan to buy a drawing pad and connect it to my Go
This is an interesting video. I do wish you input all the data so one could be as well informed as possible with what the video editing capabilities are. For example, the media type, mp4, mov ect., the bitrate and codec of the footage, what export settings you used. All very useful points of data. There was so much missing for anyone looking to see if this is viable for travel as a multi-purpose device. Not that one expects this to perform as well as a dedicated editing desktop. But having that information would offer a point of reference to its limitations. Perhaps you can offer that in a comment for those like myself that are interested. Incredible tech we have.
Even as a video editor I don't pay that much attention 😂 but we're working with h.264s at a bitrate no more than 120. More testing would be required to know if it'll choke under color correction and effects. Of course the most practical issue is the tiny screen. You'd have to travel with a portable monitor and at that point you might as well just use a laptop.
Personally I would still get a MacBook Pro. Having a keyboard, decent size screen, OS stability, and crazy good battery life trumps the Legion Go for any kind of "pro" work you're going to do on it. On the other hand if you're already buying the Legion Go for gaming, it's worth noting that editing photos and video on it is an option.

Finally a video i'm looking for! Anyway you could do vegas pro to edit? you don't have to make a video.. just tell if the vegas pro software works ❤
Don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
Pretty much any editing software should work fine on the Legion go, you have to remember this is a full-fledged PC.

Probably. I wouldn’t trust it long term though.
How is it for streaming games?
Does it support touchscreen or stylus for editing?
Gonna try to edit a future video fully on this machine
I really wish someone would bench Lightroom and photoshop! Surprising outcome. Thanks for the video.

Get another one in the pipeline - People are hungry for alternative work on gaming handhelds.
I personally use Fusion 360 for CAD/CAM on my Legion Go.
how long it takes for the battery health to start depleting if I use this for editing everyday?
My legion go is my one and only computer
Same. I have mines plugged into two monitors 🖥️🖥️ .
