I've got a friend who used to be so driven-mad by the addictiveness of the game that I would only need to whistle the first couple bars of this song, and he'd scream and fire up DOSBox so he could get his fix.
It isn't in midi format. Actually a format called oktalyzer. Very dirty sounding compared to midi, but also I think it's because it doesn't rely on an instrument library stored on the system and instead has highly compressed sounds (samples) stored into each file itself, much like the mod file family of music (just -at least in this case- more compressed). In fact I think oktalyzer _is_ a type of mod file.

I'm trying to do this in LMMS it's too hard for me :D And yes, this Music is awesome (like the Music of many DOS-Games: Lotus 3 The Ultimate Challenge, Grand Prix Circuit, the Xmas-Version of Skyroads...... too many). Dude, PLEASE gimme some sort of sheet music or digitally (play it on a midi-keyboard and record it). You're playing as well, as the original music. PLEASE!!!
Excellent work dude, the music from that game was awesome. I don't know if you ever played Jill of the Jungle (classic 90s dos game), but I've made a jazz keyboard remix of the opening titles of that...it's on TH-cam if you look up Jill of the Jungle Theme Music Remix.

I think it's named "skyroads - road 1 music" here on youtube... keep it going..
