Totally agree laundry is the longest chore. I can even get everything folded. It’s the putting away that feels IMPOSSIBLE! Lol also unloading the dishwasher is the worst also.
If you want some more light in your office room, you should get some sheer curtains! That way you still have privacy but the room will feel much brighter. I just did that in my office and I love it so much!

I hate doing dishes as well, it's stressful (at least from my perspective) putting them into a position where they will get clean without breaking, and I sometimes get nervous about where to put certain dishes. I also am EXTREMELY particular with how they get put away, and if one dish is out of order I will literally have an OCD meltdown. I don't like putting away laundry either, but washing laundry is calming for me, especially since I throw everything into the washer and put it on the cold water handwash cycle.
you and Jarvis need to try the "raised and rooted" vegan chicken nuggets. I've been a vegetarian for 15+ years and they are the best meatless chicken nuggets ever! They taste like Mcdonalds chicken nuggets. You can get them at Target and I think most grocery stores, at least specialty ones

Curious, did you know you were buying a house when you first left CHI? Like, did you know that apartment would be very temporary? I've moved like that before, in which case, I never unpacked. The apartment was more or less a "storage point" between living arrangements.

I was meant to move today. The removalists turned up 3 hours early then said they couldn't do the job because things weren't ready to go in the truck and left. You know, that would have been done given an extra 3 hours. I totally get the just 'throw it in a box' point you get to when packing
That morning star stir fry looked amazing 😍 If you live near a Trader Joe’s, they have really good beefless ground and they also sell impossible meat!!

Our house is assessed at $425K with 7 average-sized rooms, 1 full bath, 2 half, walk up attic, unfinished basement and 1 car garage on a 50 x 175 lot w/pool. Taxes $15K/yr. It’s insane. Unfortunately my hubby and I were born and raised here w/family and job obligations. Hoping to move in the near future 🙂

If you can find them you should try out Impossible Burger grounds or Beyond beef grounds. I've found them at Walmart and a few other grocery stores.
