Great if you have a jun yard near by that will let you dismantle 4 door interiors. Never thought a part could be so hard to find. 1000's of exteriors, 3 interiors all OEM for about $50 each.

Thanks this is exactly what my 2011 Toyota Corolla’s doing I’m replacing my inner door weatherstrip also I had to call my local dealer for the exact name of these parts I removed the tint first I brought a steamer at Walmart and the tint came off so easily like butter no blade needed

0:31 Just a tip, if you have a modern Toyota or Lexus, before using a razor blade you might check the window stamp to make sure you do not have a "UVU" italic mark on there. That is an interior glass coating by AGC Automotive that easily scratches from a razor blade.

JUST the video I was looking for! Thanks bro. I have the same car as well, can you link a similar weatherstrip that will fit ? I found the original OEM one but it’s $40.
Thank you very much Zach, I appreciate it. If you found the original for $40 then thats a decent price. I actually got mine at LKQ Pick your part. I was trying to find that particular part online but they were all expensive. Probably $50 and up. I found a similar year model Corolla at the junk yard and paid $10. Works perfectly. I bought four of these as replacements but it seems like they're all a little long for the window panel. Does third party weather stripping sometimes require cutting to fit? Would this work?
Great question my friend. Yes it may need to be cut. Thats what I did on mine. I went to a junkyard and got the weather stripping part from a camry. It was a little long so I cut it and it fit just fine. Thank you for watching, sorry for the late reply and have a blessed day my friend🙏😎
Can you spray the white lithium grease directly at the weather strip? My car's outer weather strip is the one catching. The felt is still there from what I can tell, it's just rougher feeling. I'm wondering if the grease can help prevent me from replacing the strip.
Great question. Absolutely Camster. Give it a shot to see if it works. I have tried it before but it does leave a light film on the window from the grease. If I had to so all over again, I would try a Dry lubricant. Liquid wrench, WD40 and Blaster all have a dry or quick drying lubricant that wont leave any residue but still lubricate. Thats what I would do. Let me know if you have any more questions. Have a blessed day and thank you for the comment😁😎✌️.

If its in good condition and clean, then yes you can. If you want to do it right, then I would remove the old tint. Use a hair dryer and some soapy water with a razor blade to remove the old glue.
