No, the best version of this song belongs to Roy Orbison. Because his voice was clearly the best I have ever listened to in the popular music. He could do what he wanted with that voice and his way of expressing what he felt is iconic. Michael Bolton and this guy are flat if we compare then to Mr Orbison. There is a huge distance that separates them, we only have to be able to obserb a little bit.

Roy is No.2 on my list of fav singers but funny enough I don't like his version at all. We all have our favs. I often think I am the only person alive who can't stand Adele's voice so there you go !

Music is based on feelings and emotions and according to what I think, The Big O has more ressources to express them than Nilsson. Nilsson has a very good voice, he sings very well but Mr Orbison is off the scale. Roy Orbison is a genius (look at his legacy to the music) and Mr Nilson is a actually a superb amateur singer.
