I have this 333ES and the tray no longer comes out, it makes noise and thats it, I actually have a disc inside and it reads OK, just not opens. Its funny last year the complete display went out but the tray was working. I left it un used for a few months, now the display works again but the tray is screwed. Is that an easy fix do you think
This is a good question. I have the same unit with the same problem. What I learned in my searches is that the problem is a single rubber belt. It's the Achilles heal of the machine because rubber eventually degrades and, without it, the door won't open. So...based on a video about belt replacement on another unit (and the help of a very brave and talented friend), I opened up the 333ES and replaced the belt with a new belt I found on ebay. And it works! Here's the video to the other MD. The internal parts are NOT the same in the 333ES, but the belt system is the same principal.
