    I am very frustrated...I live alone..in delhi from 2monts I am not able to study due to mobile addiction or feeling sleepy after breakfast...and also time table...not able to sleep at night....bcz of which not able to go for my yoga classes

      I too came across this issues... I provide few suggestions which helped me to mitigate to some extent that
      Sleep 10minz when u feel sleepy
      Have fruits and juice instead of morning breakfast
      Have very some quantity of tea or coffee every 2hrs...

      I faced the same problem. I joined the library and since then things have been going well. I have a rule not to use mobile phone while on the table.

    few months back till july I was a smoker 24 years of age done Msc and preparing for state pcs ....suddenly my 7 long year of relationship ended .I was going through a lot of pain. But decided to quit everything sugar short video drinking smoking (I call it s3d)... tried many things initial 1 month for me was quiet tough ...I was not able to focus anywhere...And then I included daily workout in my schedule and not looking at the phone in first and last 1 hr of my day.. and after every week when the screen time app shows the percentage of decreasing avg screen time I just feel happy ... today 17th dec its been 4months and I am able to keep a large distance from s3d just trying to focus more on prep and self growth ...dont know whether I will be a civil servant or not but one thing for sure this has done a lot of change to my character...

    I haven’t opened any social media platform since I watched your video sir , I’ve uninstalled many online games and insta and I felt much better , initially it’s tough but later on I felt much better after doing it .
    My takeaway from this video are
    1) understand the dopamine patterns and the reason why you’ve addicted to it
    2) Try to get dopamine through good hobbies
    3) Avoid all social media platforms
    4) Better to use a keypad phone
    5) Stop checking the phone the moment you wake up
    6) Try to browse anything in laptop rather than phone

    Sir,i am 25 years old...i come from a lower middle class family...from my adulthood i have dreamt of giving upsc.. seeing my family condition,after graduation i started ssc then banking preparation...now if everything goes well i will become an officer in regional rural bank...sir, to be honest when i saw my scorecard of mains exam i knew that there is 90% chance that i will be selected and in that moment i was finally happy because now i can start my actual journey..i don't care if i will get selected or not..i just want to gain knowledge..that all encompassing knowledge that i can get from this exam..i am very excited for this..i have been watching your videos for a long time...being there in the main administrative body of the country..it is so nice of you that you find time for such students.I want to develop such personality.

    Points to be followed
    1 .happiness chemical dopamine
    2 . rewarding pain instead of pleasure
    3. Not to use mobiles early in the mornings and late nights.
    4.turning off notifications if using any kind of social media.
    5.having a hobby in free time in order to relax other than social media.
    Sir as per my understanding i learnt these from u i actually try to follow these in my day to day preparation to upsc but i fail after watchingur video i really took the challenge serious
    I can't say i did it 100% but upto my extent i max tried not using 95 percent .
    I hope the interaction with u might help me alot to move forward in my preparation.
    Ur really an inspiration to many and thank you sir

    This Phone addiction is not only limited to UPSC aspirants. We can see almost in all the young generation getting addicted to their phone,distracting themselves from their study,career etc. Its becoming a huge problem.

    I have completed my commitment.I didn't used any social media since last morning.😊
    Steps suggested by you which I trying to imbibe in my daily routine
    1) Trying to have least interaction on social media if possible delete them or turn off notifications
    2)Figuring out the time when we are most craved for using phone
    3) Trying to develop a hobby,meet our positive friends, have a silent walk with ourselves which we could replace with my unnecessary screen time
    4) Reward ourselves after achieving every 🎯 targets even if it it very small.

    My learnings:
    1.Dopamine or happiness chemical is the reason for cravings
    2.Always keep notification off of social media apps
    3.Find out the time slot when we use the mobile phone for insta etc.
    4.Never use in the morning and late night
    5.Train your mind for pain instead of pleasure
    6.Check your surroundings
    Sir, actually I don't have any social media apps in my phone except what's app ( notification off always ) and telegram ( notification on only of important groups). And I use forest app while studying so that I don't touch the phone for those particular hours and when I complete that target it always gives positive feeling. Yes , I am accepting challenge.

    I tried this challenge and successfully completed it with my reward pain.
    1. I didn't use my phone last night before sleeping
    2. I didn't use my phone( not even WhatsApp) when i woke up today.
    3. I didn't use TH-cam shorts since last evening.

    Sir I literally switched off my phone for 10 days and kept in cupboard. Initial 3,4 days I was irritated because of not having phone but after 5th day I feel more focused, clam mind ,stopped overthinking of unnecessary things and I also used to do meditation which helped me to look around myself,my strength and weakness and it boosted me very much...
    Sir I will be very grateful to meet you as I also live in Mumbai 🙏❤

    Sir I'm 20, you really suggested a good advice. I don't have insta or twitter or facebook but sometime I used to watch utube shorts (that's also the same thing) but liked that you told not to look at morning into ur 📱 but at night and I actually no need of E-mail Id 😅 right now but may be later. Thanks not only for making youth aware but also to give better pleasure and healthy life, keep focused on the things that we actually needed. I will definitely try and make it MY HABIT.😊

    Did it. Watched it around 12: 40 pm yesterday and didn't open any Social Media app or TH-cam untill 1:00 pm today. I used WhatsApp to check messages..I'll be honest, but not more than for 10 minutes. This is not enough, have to do it everyday. Have to minimise it to the least. Putting it here to motivate myself.     I have deleted almost all social media apps, only telegram and you tube. Spending too much time on you tube. I am thinking of deleting TH-cam also. I was troubled by this addiction for a long time. thanks for giving such great information.

    . just exploring something else which give me happiness

    Sir, I have just shifted to my hostel where I don't have a phone. Earlier I used to have at my home where I was addicted to it. My entire morning productivity used to get wasted because that.
    Now, I keep a laptop with me but still somewhere addicted to youtube videos.
    I have accepted 💯the challenge sir.

    Challenge completed sir👍...what I learnt from this video...now a days lot of informations are available in social media but 30 mins shorts will never help to clear the exams because recalling is the vital role for examination but if we recalling the short we use mobile again so distract easily...whatever 1 time writting practice is powerfull than 10 times reading...if we avoid this addiction just avoid the soft copies highly preferred hard copies...

    Good Afternoon sir. I saw your video yesterday at around noon and immediately put the phone aside. Completed the day’s target but had slight deviation at around bed time.
    This morning I just turned off the alarm and didn’t indulge with the phone. Completed 50% of the daily targets by now and took this moment to thank you for your advice. Picking up books in the morning too gave a dopamine boost and I could complete things in a flow.

    Sir, I have completed the task of avoiding social media for 24 hours. It was tough to not open TH-cam for a whole day as it's the only social media that I use but that made me realise how addicted I am to TH-cam. I hope to get rid of this addiction and channel that time and energy to a more profound preparation of UPSC under your guidance.

    I too suffer from washroom syndrome😂.
    Uninstalled insta ,fb after delhi riots, hated tik tok.but the youtube shorts got me.
    But there is hope. I planted some veggies and fruit plants, take care of them in my free time. Still a long way to go from youtube shorts.
    Sir said the right thing about going for a walk, or just sitting with yourself.
    If possible, grow some plants. The new growths always makes you happy and you never feel boredom.

    Most wanted video sir , Thanks for it because Now a days, I knew it ,addicted to social media and mentally exhausted still unable to control the using of social media especially TH-cam and 3 to 4 hrs a day even before i followed others methods which u mentioned on video such as No social media apps , not using phone at washroom and set timer for app screen but while eating the food ,watching the social media that made hours on phone... ,

    Firstly thank you very much sir for your valuable words.
    24 hours challenge to stay away from phone and social media is really worked. Before this challenge : As prelims getting closer i am rush in reading without analysing the outcome and just completing my targets and in between i took breaks and i spend it watching youtube.
    After challenge: After reading few hours i realise that important topics and related data is getting from newspaper and that data has a link with static syllabus given by upsc and the learning is tested with previous year questions and mocks. Every one knows it sir but i got that connection when i think it clearly and also noticed how this online content makes too much dependent on it without refering the static books. But online resources are aslo helpful but not to depend too much on it.
    I noticed the gaps in between my classes and schedule.
    I utilise that break time in walking.
    From the last 24 hours, i learnt that i am spending my break time in youtube shorts which are not useful.

    Dear Sir,
    I have completed the challenge(task) you gave us. It's nearly 24 hours since I watched your video. Some key points from my experience
    1. Uninstalling the Instagram and Twitter apps really works. It's a million times better to use them in the browser as the browser is not as streamlined as the applications.
    2. I have been doing this for a long time, and it works like a charm. It is using WhatsApp on a laptop and using a button phone for daily use. With the current update, Whatsapp allows the user to use Whatsapp on a laptop even when the phone is not connected. Aspirants should make use of it
    3. Rewarding myself after a period of not using my phone is the smartest technique out there. Thank you, Sir, for telling us this.
    4. I mapped my phone usage, and the trend I got is more or less the same as told by you. I restricted my use of phone in the morning and before sleeping
    Regardless of the incentive(though waiting for it ;) ), thank you sir for making us aware of this aspect.

    I was bit late in reaching to this video, but i was thrilled while i was listening to it as most of your points like promise ourselves, delete social media accounts, etc. are in my practice.
    1 year prior to my preparation I have deleted my Instagram account with app and till now i didn't install thinking in mind to start using it only after i get success in UPSC and i dont have twitter account till now.
    Only social media accounts using now is whatsapp and TH-cam, where whatsapp usage is very low but not same with TH-cam. I'm trying to minimise it from past 3 months where i got only limited success. The previous day i watched this video and i didn't use whatsapp for this whole day and TH-cam i need to use tonight for news purpose. I'm taking up this challenge to use TH-cam only for UPSC related.

    Hello Sir , my self Aayush and I am in my 1 st year of BA and preparing for CSE along with it .I have watched youur entire video till end twice . I am not on any social media , I had jio cinema and hotstar which I deleted right after your video .
    I am not using my phone till 11 AM morning from last 7 days , I also have set a personal goal of not using phone for a day in week , I named it as " A DAY WITHOUT PHONE " which I set to saturday . I used my phone for 42 minutes on last Saturday out of which 31 minutes were for " focus to do app " which I use for promodoro technique . Didn't open whatsapp & YT on Saturday .

    I just completed the chalenge by not opening any social media app for 24 hrs even TH-cam and restricted by TH-cam for 1hr per day usage in my mobile thanks for guiding us ❤️

I have been started my upsc preparation from 2022. Next will be my 2nd attempt in 2024. Currently going through somany struggles and stress I don't want to quit this journey.     3. Figuring out phone using times and eliminate them to possible extent

    6. Finding some hobby.

    Hello sir
    I watched you video yesterday and switched my phone off immediately, and kept it in the cupboard (away from my sight)
    I was reminded of something but i hold the urge and now i am here after 24 hrs
    I restarted it to comment and will switch it off again,
    Really, yesterday was so peaceful, even i did mediation after so long, otherwise i used to scoll news on phone thinking they're helping me.

    Good morning sir... One thing I understood was unless we are DETERMINED not to use our phones, we can't stop it. Most of the days even after scheduling the whole day I would end up staying up late in the night because I'll think that I've studied for the whole day now why can't I enjoy the ''me time'' but last night was not the same... I slept at 11 and in the morning I'm awake now @6... I believe that one day I'll become an IAS OFFICER and share all my experience with you sir❤

    Sir successfully i finished 24 hours without using social media apps and i noticed why iam lagging behind finish any target thank you sir this video has given me the best results and answers to many questions running in my mind instead of studying for 5 hours iam was able to study for 7 hours so it increased my progess 🎉

    It been a month since i deleted all my soical media account. I have reduced my screen time to 1-2 hour a day except that i use youtube but I am trying to do that too. I opened my youtube and now after seeing your video i hope that i reduce my screentime. Yes sir it really feels very good after deleting all social media app.
