Had to come back to chch thanks to covid, redundancy etc and honestly I hate it and I want to go back but Auckland doesn't have anything near Dimitris lol 🙃. But then again, Tzatziki sauce is easy to make. PS, Cantabrians are also very biased towards people from other cities when it comes to the job market. Very hard to get a job down here no matter how qualified you are.
Statue man. He changed to Snow man in about 2021. He used to get quite upset if you took a photograph of him and you wouldn’t pay. He also used to complain about the “street kids” harassing him and used to ask for free hot chocolates from Rolickin Gelato on Cashel St. I spent a lot of time on Cashel St around 2020/21. Saw some real bizarre things on that street, especially late nights. The cops roll around, shining torches from their paddy wagon looking for drunkards, and then they’d hop out on Oxford Tce and control the revellers. People walking by used to give me drinks when I was sitting around at night. I had to wait for my girlfriend-at-the-time who finished work at midnight and then I’d walk her home. I’d see great things around town.

I grew up watching it too & only today have I questioned the LIVE GORILLA ON TV EVERY SUNDAY MORNING. If I didn’t watch the show with my own eyes I’d have thought it was fake! 😂
I remember the original Camilla the Gorilla when she was a generic Halloween-looking gorilla instead of the cuter anthropomorphic version in her later years and your pictures.
Honestly hoping some animals rights groups took her back into captivity, when they replaced her with the replica suit I just hoped she didn’t…reach her expiration date 😭
