- This is the last of my Halloween journals for 2022! I'm showing a quick flip through of my Bone Collector Grimoire. It's full of hand dyed papers, spooky digitals, ephemera, and scary stuff! Also featuring many pages from Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark 3! Many of the digitals are my own but I did use several other creators as well, which I will list below.

This is one of the best journals I’ve seen! What are your dimensions you used and how many pages per signature? They are perfectly aligned with the book! Beautiful job!
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you like it! I like to use covers from old books I get at yard sales, thrift stores, etc. I reuse the paper as backing on a lot of my pockets and tags. So all book pages are tailored to the cover I already have picked out. In this case, the cover is 8.5 x 5.5 inches, so I cut down my papers to be 8.25 x 5.25(approx) inches. For a three signature book, I like to use 10 papers per signature which comes out to 120 writable pages for the book :)

Decided to take a look at another of your spooky and creepy journals...just as many wonderful features to see in this one! The frayed strips of black fabric on tags looks really great! I'm a card maker...and I'm going to pull out my sewing machine for my Halloween cards! Well done!!

Rebecca--- this journal is amazing!!! so much work went into it! thankyou for sharing!! i am wondering what kind of metal alphabet stamps you use to stamp the little metal title piece on the cover? i have metal stamps but they dont work very good. 🖤❣🖤
Thank you for your kind words! The metal title plate is actually from the Tim Holtz Halloween collection for this year. It came with four different title plates and I just had to use The Bone Collector. :)

Thank you for watching! I do have an Etsy store but I don't do custom orders. I put up new journals frequently though. This journal was actually from Halloween 2022 and has sold. Thanks for the interest! I'm going to be doing smaller journals for upcoming Christmas season, there will be some spooky ones :)
How did you get the deep jewel tones on your paper? Did you use sprays and which ones or did you dye them? Please let me know cause they are absolutely gorgeous!

@cassyreif697 I use different cloth dyes for my papers! I usually make large batches of different color paper and do a water wash on them for any spare dye, then let them air dry 😀
Hello , I'm a new paper crafter of 3 weeks, this is all new to me. I'd like to create a similar journal, but only using my own created recipes, but I have a question ❓,. Where or how do I find those special holographic pictures u use? Any guidance u can give me would be appreciated, best regards PJ 🕸️🕷️
Welcome! I found those holographic images on books I found at a local charity shop. The Encyclopedia Horrifica to be precise. I think you can purchase some on Amazon but I'm not entirely sure on thata or the books at Thriftbooks.com. As far as guidance, everything I have learned has come from other TH-cam artists. ArtyMaze, Carol Laws, RoxyCreations, PaperOutpost, TreasureBooks, PinkOddBird are all fantastic and there are so many others. I have learned so much from them. Trial and error. I create and then take them apart to use for other books. Just play with what you have because junk journals can be made with anything!

Oh, I'm sorry for my misunderstanding! The amount on Etsy should be in US dollars if you are in the US, I think. It's $95.00 + applicable taxes with free shipping in the US.
