It has been almost 20 years since this storyline. I remember this aired on my bday 8/28/.93. It was a riveting speech. The writers put together a momentous episode. Young Ryan Phillippe played his part well, and Wortham Krimmer spoke from the heart. I have tears streaming down my face. Hopefully this storyline did some good to change some closeminded people's thinking and to put teens' consciences to rest. Bravo to ABC producers, writers and other powers that be.
This is why I was such a fan of this show (and GH) because it featured real life issues that even now in almost 2023 we’re still not there yet. In many ways OLTL was ahead of it’s time.

this was 1992
Ryan Phillippe and Wortham Krimmer should've definately been nominated for Emmys for their performances because they were on fire!
They were flaming all right!!!
GREATEST story ever on OLTL that transcended entertainment.
How can one not be moved by this entire storyline? By Andrew's speech?
