    I don't think this is a DBD problem, it's more like a society problem. If you walk through every super market on every country you can see sometimes someone being rude. It happens on every DBD server, it happens in every game.

    As someone whose played only a few days now... playing 2v8 for BP increase. The wraiths ive encountered are the worse just sitting invis at hooks/cages and as soon as player is unhooked kills the person that was just unhooked. Doesnt go after anyone just hook camping. So when you constantly do this to new people this creates the just wait im gonna make every killer miserable in every match i play. I havent played killer yet que times to long for me.

    I literally just played a game against a Zeno morph who tunneled a Zarina at 5 gens, she lasted till 3 and eventually the xenomorph started SLUGGING us. He wouldn’t hook any of us and he just kept slugging, and the problem was that it was solo Q. He eventually bled my teammates out after like 20 minutes and he eventually found me after closing hatch and slugged me till I died. A 3v1 against a Xeno was practically impossible in Solo Q.

      It could have been because there were no hooks around, although if all 4 were slugged then probably not. However, If all of the survivors were clicking and Teabagging, then it is completely good for mr. Xeno

    I would actually like to push back against this a little.
    I'm a new DBD player, just over 60 hours and I've had the game for almost 3 weeks. I've played both survivor and killer roughly the same amount, with killer probably having a few more hours. While I have run into toxic players(bully squads, tunnelers etc.), I would say for the most part my experience has been amazing. I'm constantly having games where survivors and killers ended up being friendly and chilling.
    I know this steps into the realm of whataboutism, especially since I have a smaller sample size. However, the community has been the main reason for me wanting to keep playing.
    I think at the end of the day, no matter what game you play, there will be toxic players. They will also always be the loudest and most noticeable people. I think if you ignore the toxicity DBD actually has one of the better and more fun communities I've seen.

    I have roughly 25k hours in Dead by Daylight with at least 4 digit hours in both roles. The only toxicity i've seen gameplay wise has been survivors sandbagging other survivors, IE body blocking people in corners where they can't move until both parties get AFK crows or die to an endgame collapse.
    Endgame chat has a little whininess but not a lot of toxicity.
    Post game adds however are *Very* different and you've got people sending gruesome and illegal images, making threats and such but never see that in the game chat.

      Yesterday a bubba let 4 of us slug next to hook basement. This is toxic in my opinion, he could just hook us, even after ds 60 seconds and other survivor at the end said he was a "monkey" when talking about his skin colour

    • @smugwib
      @smugwib หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@karlackk I went to a college that had designated "safe spaces" in corner hallways for people to cry between classes. Some of the people who used them have found lots of little things toxic, they called them microaggressions. Misgendering, using triggering words in normal conversation. Whatever else. that sorta thing happens.
      In reality, we have no idea why the Bubba was slugging. There are lots of competitive advantages to bleeding out survivors. No chance to 4%, If someone else unbreakables you don't have to drop the slug to reset them. You can pick the order people use their UBs, if they stand up out of order, you can wait out the soulguard because they aren't carrying, last survivor in a trial is on death hook etc.
      Is it more effort than most killers are going to put into their games or more than is required to win most of the time? Sure. But why assume people are just being mean to you, or try to become a victim?
      Survivors can go out of their way to sandbag each other, but there is very little platform for survivor or killer to be "toxic" or even unfriendly to the other without making a leap of logic to accommodate it, and at that point you just want to.
      Post game chat might be a different animal, but as far as i've seen in over 25k hours of DBD there is very little toxicity compared to what i've seen on stuff like Battlenet or ANet

    • @skott199
      @skott199  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I forgot to mention sandbagging others on purpose I see.

    • @smugwib
      @smugwib 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@skott199 I don't even really mind if a survivor sandbags someone else because they think they need to take a hit, or they haven't been hooked and they think that the killer can't afford to hit them, or even if they are playing for hatch. There are (often suboptimal) strategical reasons to do it.
      The people who play survivor and body block other survivors til death are the only example of toxicity that I have seen and that I think this game supports.
      Anything else reported almost always seems to be a stretch and victim mentality.

Idk if my experience or playstyle is similar to other or toxic to others. also side note not sure if people care but i think proxy camping is ok if you got 1 maybe 2 gen at most if all player are alive that's just my opinion.

    There are very few things you can do as a survivor to be toxic that actually impact the quality of the game for the killer, while killers can straight up ruin the experience for four other people. I've been toxic on killer for multiple games in a row to see if it's actually possible to win often while doing it, and to no surprise, it is very possible. So I see why survivors can get upset, especially if you are against one of the very strong anti loop killers and you just get proxied out of the game, then the rest of the team gets snowballed on by multiple slowdowns. This is why I'm glad they are adding 10 seconds to the hook state, in hopes that it makes proxy camping less valuable.

    I have to take regular breaks from DBD because of the toxicity. I'm not one that's vulnerable to shit talk or suicide/death threats, but it does get to you after awhile when its *almost every god damn game*, man. It's always from survivors too, the worst that I've ever got from a killer was "ggez", which doesn't even remotely compare to the horrific things survivors say to me (and to each other!)

    For thebyears I've been playing the game I've rarely get players that are toxic i mostly seen some salty ones but i seen a lot of nice players i guess maybe it's because i mainly run non meta perks and play killer and hardly tunnel and camp so i guess that's the reason why i don't get people like them but i know there are some people no matter how good the game went they'll just harass other people for no reason which I think that is a shity which honestly those types of people should be temp banned to perma eventually.

    I've had this question for a while, why is tunneling toxic? Why is it considered a bad thing to do? I love getting tunneled I don't see why you wouldn't. The chase is the central gameplay on both sides so why would you not like when the killer chases you the whole match, do you want to sit on gens all game? But then why do so many also complain about gen slowdown? You don't like slowdown cuz you gotta sit on gens but you don't like being tunneled because you can't sit on gens. It just doesn't make sense to me
