The rap line in this group is no joke (RM's song Joke, Suga's AgustD, Jhope's Airplane, and all three on their song Ugh!) They have a load of hip hop songs as well as every other genre but country. Oh wait, RM did a version of Old Town Road. BTS which stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan in korean (translates to bulletproof boy scouts in english) is a 7 member (3 rappers and 4 vocalists) group from South Korea that started formation in 2010 and officially debuted in 2013. They are currently the biggest group in the world. Their names are Jin age 28 vocalist, Suga age 27 rapper, J-Hope age 27 rapper, RM age 26 rapper, Jimin age 25 vocalist, V age 25 vocalist, and Jungkook age 23 vocalist. They have broken numerous records set by the Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Adele. They had 3 number 1 songs in the US alone in 2020 (Dynamite, Savage Love BTS remix, and Life Goes On). They have also had 5 number 1 albums in the US in less than 3 years. They recently became the first kpop artist to be nominated for a Grammy and were named Entertainer of the year by Time Magazine. The music video for Dynamite broke the record of the most viewed video on youtube in 24 hours with 101.1 million views. Dynamite is BTS first and only fully english song, they normally sing and rap in korean with some english mixed in. Their fanbase is also very diverse with people of all ages, nationalities, genders, and races. BTS do all genres hiphop, rnb, pop, edm, neo-soul, and latin and they have over 250 songs in their discography. Their music covers important subject matter such as self love, mental health, societal expectations and injustices, economic inequalites, and so much more. @@TheReactionCouch Thanks, I just try to inform people more about BTS that they don't know. One thing I forgot is that BTS came from small almost broke company called Bighit. All 7 of them even had to share a bedroom and use Bighit staff as extras to be in videos because they couldn't afford to pay actors. Everyone around them said they wouldn't make it because they weren't from a bigger more successul company called the Big 3 which were JYP, YG, and SM. So BTS never anticipated this music success and neither did anyone in the kpop industry. Because of lack of opportunites because their company wasn't part of the big 3 they had to find other ways to promote and connect to fans because variety shows wouldn't have them on or their performances would get shortened or not aired at all. So that's when they turned to social media to connect with fans through Vlogs and videos showing their life on and off stage. They practiced 12-16 hours a day and didn't start getting success in South Korea until around 2015. They literally took a company that was near bankruptcy and made it into a multi-billion empire. Even if you don't like BTS music their story is still very inspirational. And through it all BTS remain so humble and say all their success is because of the fans that they call ARMY. And now all 7 member are also part owners of Bighit Entertainment.

And to be honest BTS as a group aren't even the best dancers in kpop. But it doesn't matter because they have such huge stage presence, charisma, and make every person in a stadium feel like they are performing for them. And considering only 2 members actually studied dance before joining Bighit is astonishing.

Yoo loved the reaction and thank for being opened minded and having positive vibes. Bts is the biggest boy group and they have a lot to offer. For starters, yes the guy with the blue hair is part of the group. He is actually the leader of the group and is the only member who speaks fluent english. Everyone you seen in the mv is part of the group. Bts is a seven member boy group from South Korea. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalist. They make all genres of music so don't feel bad if you don't vibe with something 👍

I highly recommend checking out “a beautiful life goes on: The story of BTS” by Asian theory he does a very thorough job at explaining BTS from debut (2013) to present day.
the two songs you chose to react to like many others have said are two of the most poppy songs BTS have. they have songs in just about every genre except for maybe country. they have one of the most diverse discographies I’ve ever heard and it includes over 200 songs. they are writers, producers, and composers putting their all into make music that heals and makes others happy. their music is deep and relatable and that is why so many people are so dedicated to them.
there are 7 members in BTS, 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, however all of the members can sing. they are professional performers and dancers with a variety of backgrounds including contemporary, modern, popping, and hiphop. their ages range from 23-28. they are all South Korean.
the members names are RM (Kim Namjoon), Jin (Kim seokjin), SUGA (min yoongi), jhope (jung hoseok), jimin (park jimin), V (Kim taehyung), jungkook (jeon jungkook).

When you made comments about JHope not having any muscles I felt like you need to here about BTS and what they stand for. By the way JHope has muscles, he has a dancer's body, lean muscle formed by constant work. Anyway that isn't the point.
BTS makes music that helps people, of course the 2 songs you reacted to are the most poppy songs they have ever done, but the rest of their music dives deep. But the song I wanted to point out is "Anpanman", which is based off a Japanese super hero who is made of bread. Anpanman isn't as strong as other super heros, but he helps however he can, even going as far as breaking off parts of himself to feed the hungry. In the song BTS sing "I'm I new superhero Anpanman". Here is where they tell all the people who look up to them that they will help us however they can. Physical strength isn't everything, BTS's strength comes in the form of their words and actions, they constantly remind us to rise above pressure, follow your heart and above all love ourselves.
I appreciate that you looked into these guys, they have a large discography with various styles, they are excellent dancers and phenomenal performers. I would recommend all of their songs but my most recent favorites is "ON" "Dis-ease".

You just happened to pick their two most poppy songs, but they actually started off as a hip hop group lol. They have three rappers, two of which are underground rappers and producers (the third started off as a street dance, but has become an amazing rapper and producer).
Jessi is ok, but for me personally she sounds very similar to some other American rappers/singers so I don't listen to her much lol. If you're going to react to more BTS, I recommend Black Swan or Fire. If you're reacting to Jessi, her collab with Dawn was pretty good (the song's called Dawndididawn).

You are correct, "Dynamite" is one of their most Pop/mainstream songs. Please react to one of their hip-hop tracks, "Mic Drop" (Steve Aoki Remix). Also, Agust D "Daechwita" (Agust D is one of BTS' rappers, "Suga"). The "Korean Slim Shady" is named RM (he's BTS' leader) and he has a collab. with American rapper Wale called "Change". If you want to get to know BTS, you should watch "The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS" by The Asian Theory. The video does a great job of giving the history of how they were formed and their rise to the top. No respect to your friend (on the phone), but BTS is the ONLY Kpop group with meaningful lyrics, made the cover of TIME, and asked by the United Nations (twice) to speak about their campaign ( in partnership with UNICEF) to combat violence against children/youth, and have a fandom (ARMY) who have started almost 400 different charity projects in the name of BTS all around the world,. These other Kpop groups/artists are no different than every other artist who have nothing meaningful to say or contribute. These boys have been together over 10years. They debuted 7 years ago when the youngest was only 15 and the oldest was 20. The CEO of BIGHIT lets them release their own stuff (unheard of by other companies) and they do it free on SOUNDCLOUD. The rappers (RM, J HOPE and SUGA/August D) have done this. RM and Suga/August D are amazing rappers. RM has collaborated with Wale, Fall Out Boy to name a couple. J HOPE was a street dancer before joining and the man has no bones in his body. Suga is a kick ass producer and has worked on other artists songs for them. They create their own beats and songs. All the members have a hand in the writing and producing along with in house staff. This is maybe too long, but...

All of the members work out whenever they have time to. But since they are always on the go they don’t exactly have time to workout as much as they want to. But they do indeed work out and keep themselves in shape. They don’t bulk up like some other idols that actually do bulk up like Wonho who is an ex member of Monsta x.

^ can attest to this! Yes on title tracks I do prefer some of the older ones (have warmed up to Dyamite after the live performances) but a lot of the side tracks stand strong. Dis-ease is my personal favourite of BE because of the experimentation.

They evolved into very untraditional k-pop artists with a wide variety of genres which pulled me in from the beginning of their debut : ) like I said, I do listen to them time to time but k-pop in general/artists aren't really my go to anymore. Just like artist's genres change, my taste in music has its phases too! Currently I'm into slower songs, artists like Keshi, Slchld, crush, yama, (DPR Live, Jay Park, Gray like I mentioned in the video of course), are more of my current style (Midterms have me wanting calm music to clear my headspace)! My all time favorite from BTS is Hold Me Tight, but I do jam out to songs like Black Swan and All Night from time to time (･ω

Honestly, I have a hard time vibing to BTS's bubblegum pop stuff but they have such a long and diverse discography, there's something for everyone!
There are 7 members 😁💜. 3rappers: Rm The Leader who ya'll were calling "Slim Shady😉"; Suga who is also known as AgustD; and J-Hope. They all have individual disks/works aside from BTS still under record label. They just do their own writing/producing..while working with BTS.
There are 4 lyricists: JEON JUNGKOOK (JK) He is the lead vocal and part of the dance line; Jimin is lead dancer and main vocal; V is a main vocalist and part of the dance line as of 2018 and team visual; Jin main visual, oldest member and part of vocal line.

*Advise* :
ARMYs tend to get excited once they find your channel and start requesting to react to the epic, LIVE performance or Award shows. Do note, try not to watch the LIVE performance (such as MAMA OR MMA) too soon. In my opinion, Live performances are best watched once you have seen the mv itself or at least know the songs before you see LIVE version. That way, your journey will be a lot more fulfilling/worthwhile.
Again, that was just my opinion.

1) Yeah they can dance.(main dancer was street dancer +10 years) They have complex choreography and amazing set up for their performances. You can check out some live performance (Fire MAMA 2016, Mic Drop MAMA 2017, Idol MMA 2018, Dionysus MMA 2019...)
2) They are talented rappers(not just rapping for pop songs) and singers. For rap unit you can check out Cypher 3, 4 and UGH. For vocal unit House of Card, Truth Untold live.
3)They are talented artist.. They produce own songs from the beginning. So their beat and lyrics is amazing usually. All members have solo songs, rappers have own mixtapes too (two of them was underground rappers before join BTS and one of was street dancer).
4)They make versatile music (not just colourful/ love songs.) and they are so good mixing genres (they have 9 studio albums and +150 songs belong different genres)
