I have mercury in leo 9th house, jupiter ascendant, and I also experience this backwards in a way (also jupiter retrograde). I want my work to be teaching, because to me work is the most meaningful way to contribute to the world, and the best way for me to help others is through teaching. But to me teaching isn't just the content, but very spiritually it's seeing and encouraging the evolution of the self and consciousness as it grows and matures. In that way I see teaching and spirituality as being one and the same - helping someone find themselves. :)
I also want to add that during my saturn return I was given the choice to continue pursuing an engineering career that was more lucrative, or do something that pays less but feels more meaningful (not to say engineering isn't meaningful, but more specifically my personal situation wasn't overly meaningful to me). So even though I do get paid and it is my business to teach, I chose to make 1/3 of what I did before, for the love of teaching as work.

My 2 cents to Jupiter and Mercury: Jupiter is like that teacher who wants its student to know all the methods of solving a problem, the long way the short way both. But when mercury comes, he is like that brilliant student who gives you the shortest and most logical way in one go. This pisses of jupiter and he doesnt like mercury for that however mercury is always ready to take jupiters learning. So jupiter aspect on mercury is considered good as it gives it vision too.

I recognize what you say about that I'd like to teach about higher learning, spirituality in my case and I'm idealistic about it and so I find it emotionally not okay to ask money for it as in an ideal situation, people should be give good advice for free. But you relieved me from that tension that I could not ask money for it. As you say, I have my bills to pay and when I look back on paying for advice from other spiritual teachers, I usually accepted the fact I had to pay them. So thanks, this has been a big relief for me!
