Poke resist/Turtle skin gloves would be such a sound investment..(Pokes/Cuts/scrapes..Infections…Sheesh) well worth avoiding a hospital Visit, or worse..

Looks like you might have been clipping into a trash pit,there may have been homes on that property before it was a park,would explain all the old iron. There are some pretty good bottles from your home town!!
A relic dump is the LAST place I would use gold field. Yer nuts! lol. 🤣 I'd use it on very clean ground that produced a lot of deep coins or jewelry or in deep beach sand that's also pretty clean. It's just not practical for those kinds of sites. Props for showing people the reality however.
