I love my Super Rock Rey and I tend to use it in a way it wasn't really designed for: jumps. I've taken it to two different BMX tracks and have had a great time. I've also jumped it in my yard and it will backflip pretty easily. It does drive differently than any other truck I own. I think you will really enjoy it. Great video, Vas! 😎👍👊
This trucks rules on rounded moguls since the car goes nose down. One of the best scaler rock racers. Look forward to watching you test this out for the first time
With the utmost respect Vas, the reason why I watch your reviews is for your excellent description in layman’s terms the merits and pitfalls of whatever you are showing, whether it be the latest and greatest or more affordable things, so yes, the BMX track gives a good baseline, but the saying horses for courses isn’t based on nonsense either.
New to this stuff so I could use some advice on how to install the batteries on the Super Rock Rey. Just received it today , seems like the cable from the battery is kind of short to get plugged in , do you have any suggestions.
Awesome beast! Love the mod 1.5 gears, something a particular "big T word" truck should've came with. Anyway, when you do the speedrun, turn AVC completely down. AVC will continually steer the truck to one side & keep it from hitting top speed.

Yes a big toy. You can get 3D printed XT plug adapters, the guys at RC trucks and tanks he printed his own and will send you the file to print it yourself if you or a friend have a 3D printer. Looking forward to seeing where you take it to run it, personally I think it will handle the BMX track and you should give it a blast there they jump better than you may think pretty damn strong.

When you compare this radio to lets say mx-6 from sanwa there is kinda no comparison but the price is comparable. BTW since arrma was bought by horizon they are coming with spektrum radios now, I work at hobby store and have encountered a bunch of kratons with them.
Yeah, I don't think you follow the channel very well, because if you did, you would know that I own quite a few ARRMA cars, have done an interview with the founder of ARRMA and also work at a hobby shop. So I am fully aware of these radios... However, when I unboxed this car, I had not yet used the STX2 radios that come with those new ARRMA cars and my experience with the DX2E hasn't been terrible in the past, so I complimented the radio as I remembered it. It doesn't mean I'm being"sponsored". The twist is that the STX2 is very much the same mold but it uses a different protocol and it lags - bad. This radio (DX2e) is not much better in how it feels, but it's way more usable thanks to DSMR protocol and a lot less lag. Please note that when I do these unboxings they are now a "review", they are my first impressions of a car and my final review sometimes differs quite a bit depending on the experience I had with the RC after I used it.

I love this truck and I can't say enough I hate this radio system I know I'm not alone in this I wish horizon would listen to us all saying this I know it's not a price thing basically the cheepest radio on eBay is the flysky gt3b and it's an awesome radio and it's 30 bucks.

The plugs are for motor temperature or something but it’s a sensor for the motor that you put on the bullets, as you can see.

the way those electric connectors are mounted is a lot like the UDR, but hopefully not as difficult to change.
Great truck I changed the plugs to xt90 was easy
The orange and yellow plugs are for telemetry

I 3D printed a holder for Xt90 plugs to replace the stock one you ca do the same to hold the xt150 when they’re attached together
I think sand will be great. If you can find a quarry or rocky area that would be great too.
Also bro if your using xt90 or 150 they sell 3d printed housings to switch out the chassis mounted battery leads if you need to

Hey vas regarding the jumping if you have 8s installed you still have enough throttle control to straighten it from the nose dive. I love jumping mine

Plastic axle shafts on a $1000 car doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. If they were willing to cut corners there where else did they cheap out?
Only problems I've heard this car having is in the steering bell crank. Haven't heard of anyone breaking a driveshaft on these cars so far...
