Great video Hils, never get tired of seeing Mayflower, so sad all the B1's we're scrapped except two I believe, sad memories of my 50's train spotting days.
Thanks Paul. She’s a nice loco, but I do prefer the Bulleid Pacifics. I should get my Sunset Steam Express compilation done this week - all Mayflower! 😊 Hilary
Tell you what Hilary - I watch all your train videos and you’re very good at it! I always enjoy them - I love to see then coming through bridges and arches. 👌👌👌
Thank you, Ian. You are very kind. I’m glad you enjoy my films 😊 Can’t always get to the best locations, but, I agree, it’s rather good seeing a steam train burst out from a tunnel or under a bridge. 😊 Hilary
Top notch as ever Hils! I'm old enough to have happy memories of travelling behind the B1's (and occasional B2) on the Liverpool St-Cambridge line until dieselisation. (First diesel trip was D5510, one of the first batch of Bush type 3, without the upper ID panels).
Nicely captured Hilary. Shame about the bellowing over the tannoy, but that seems quite commonplace when a steam hauled express is passing,. I think the staff get excited too :)
Great to see Mayflower in LNER apple green. Great looking colour.
She’s quite a handsome loco.

Thanks John. It’s good to have those memories; happy times for many. 😊 Hilary

Thanks, Brian. It seems to happen more in the London area stations. Excitement or worry that someone will fall on the track, I guess. 😊
