      Vardous Corvinus Scanderbeg Why the hate towards our own people? There are plenty of Muslim Albanians and Christian Albanians who show the same patriotism and love for our country as any other Albanian. It matters not what our religions are, as that is never what defined our people. Our culture, our language, and our pride, as long as we keep it, our people will stay great. We can’t live in the past, but instead we must learn to take the best of our history that’ll help us today, instead of simply pushing us apart

      @KRISTIAN PEPAJ I don't think that the Ottoman state did bad things to Northern Albania because Ottoman respects and loves the Albanian. I can say this because the mostly important men in Ottoman empire are Albanian. And still Turkey have important soldiers who are Albanian. Shqipëria/Shqipnia 😍🇦🇱🇽🇰🇹🇷

    UPON POPULAR REQUEST AND WITH A MINIMAL EFFORT TO TRANSLITERATE THE OLD MEDIEVAL ALBANIAN SPOKEN ON THIS SONG, I GIVE YOU THE LYRICS (AND THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION) OF THIS SAD SONG:
    Mes të natës unë jam vetëm
    e bilbili do të këndon
    ndë vëdesë(1) drom(2) te sheshi
    ashtu vjen sipër me këngë.
    (In the middle of the night I’m alone
    And the nightingale is singing
    at the cemetery’s road, to the square,
    he comes over with his song)
    Fusi(3) imë ka-atje te hunda
    Me gëlqere do të lijeç (4)
    Ti katran që dil nga vëra
    Më s’ashtu dot s’të shoh
    (My grave, there at the hill
    With lime it’s been paint
    You black pitch springing out the earth
    I won’t have any of this view)
    Mes të natës unë jam vetëm
    e bilbili do të këndon
    Ndë ditë diel sa isht i bukur
    Kur bilbili kjaj e këndon
    (In the middle of the night I’m alone
    And the nightingale is singing
    On Sundays oh, how it is beautiful
    When the nightingale cries and sings)
    --------
    NOTES:
    - (1) - vëdesë - shqipe e vjetër për “varrezë”
    - (2) - drom - nga greqishtja “rrugë” - “rrugicë”
    - (3) - Fusi - shqipe e vjetër për “varr”, “gropë ku të fusin”
    - (4) - Lijeç - shqipe e vjetër toske për “lyhesh”

      @Albanais Helvetia
      If we decide to rely on Ethnogenetics, most Bosnians (some 40 percent) have the I2a2 Haplogroup, the oldest haplogroup in Europe. Albanians have about 20 percent of this haplogroup and about 40 percent of Ev13 (the second oldest European haplogroup that came to Europe after the I2a2). Than came the J haplogroup (suspceted to be predominant among the Phenicinas) and the R haplogroups (one of the R haplogroups being predominant among slavs)....
      It is not known which particular haplogroups was dominant among ancient Illyrians, but it makes sense to presume that Illyrians had several haplogroups (I2a2, Ev13 and definately J, becase there is both the legend and plausible history that Phoenicinas mixet with the Illyrians)....So, yes ethnogenetically Bosnians definately have a right to claim at least some Illyrian descent....among other cultures.
      There are many different preslavic ethnological elements in Bosnian culture (the Ganga traditional singing, the traditional dances and folk dreses- especially from Glamoc and Hercegovina...ornaments....etc.etc.).... So, in ethnological and ethnogenetic sense, Bosniand and most other South Slavs are only partly Slav, and to a significant extent they are non-Slav (including Illryian, Thracian, Dacian, Hellenes, Celtic.....).
      So, Albanians are not the only nation that have a right to claim Illyrian descent, plus they are probably only partly Illyrian...perhaps slightly more so than other Balkan peoplea in their language and some ethnocultural elements (ornaments, folk dress, dances....), if we presume that all tgose non-Slavic elementa among Albanians are Illyrian (but in all likelyhood they arw not just Illyrian but probably belong to some other prehistoric cultures too, including the culture of prehistoric Albanians, whom the Austrian scientist Matzinger and believe were not Illyrian people but a separate people that mixed woth Illyrians to some extent....again, the very fact that THERE IS NO BALKAN (OR ANY OTHER NATION) that has just one haplogroup is the best evidence that there is no "pure" nation....thankfully...
      Better now?

    • @batodaesitiates1295

      @Albanais Helvetia
      How do you know he does not have Illyrian blood? How do you know you have Illyrian blood? What do you mean by "Illyrian blood"? If you are refering to Haplogroups bear in mind that most Albanians are the Ev13 haplogroup and we do not knownif Illyrians predominantly had this haplogroup or I (which is the predominant Haplogroup among Bosnians)....After all...who cares what haplogroup or "blood" one has? How is that relevant to human relations and life in general? Finally, di you know that back in the day of olad Albanians, they excommunicated any Albanian who lacked honorable manners or stirred hatred with others? This means that just having Albanian origin does not necessarily make you an Albanian. The key criteria is Honorable (Decent/Dignified/Respectable) behaviour.

      Ok but the Albanian culture has been significantly altered from its original pre-Ottoman form.Just compare songs like this one and the "tallava", and most of contemporary Albanian folk and wedding music and dance (with the exception of South Albanian music and dance that managed to preserve the ancient Pre-Ottoman European Mediterranean Pentatonic scale and polyphonic chants)...the rest has been significantly been influenced by Ottoman and rural Asian music and culture....even the behavioural traits..(loud speaking, inarticulate sounds of villagers when they speak- thay almost cannot pronounce the sound "a" but insted everything is the "o" sound - "Hotel Groooondi", " "Booomjet", " Ollahile", " Jom kooon"....none of it realy resembles any known European behavioural trait....more like rural Asian and Ottoman culture(s)...I have nothing against Asian cultural elements (on the contrary, they make a culture richer), but it is just amasing how contemporary Albanians failed to rescue and promote its authentic cultured culture, such as this song, such as the music of great composers like Cesk Zadeja, Tonin Harapi, etc. etc. and instead gave way to some hybrid inarticulate and unpolished forms of music and behaviour that are more akin to rural Asian than European cultures...so if you want to be European, I believe you should first revive and promote those authentic pre-Ottoman European but also modern European values, Elegance and Aesthetics being some of those values...

      @косово је албанија 1
      No I am not "another albanian shmuck"...I was raised in a very traditional urban Gheg Albanian family (descending from the Krasniqi clan)....My grandfathers were members of the Albanian Council of Elderly, and my grandfather personaly made Peace among no less than 10 families....back in those days, you could not be considered Albanian if you were nonchalant and lacked Dignity and Respect in communication and deeds, like many albanian kids these days do, unfortunately (lacking Respect in communication and using those spoiled kids phrases like "are you another shmuck from the south")....
      But these days just about anyone can call themselves albanian...all it takes is to claim Albanian descent, speak some Albanian, indulge in that extremely naive and narrowminded attitude "We are Illyrians and the oldest people in Europe", expressi foul language and hate speech...against "albanian enemies" and Civilized Albanians...and you qualify as an albanian (bu the standards of albanian mainstream in the internet- thank God not all albanians are such albanians...there are still Albanians there too...)
      But this is not the fault of the spoiled generations...its is the fault of older generations that failed to raise them in the spirit of true Albanians - to be Men of Honor, Dignity and Peace, as they once were....People who exhanged their opinions without belittling each other and used evidence based arguments, not the conventional marketplace "arguments".....
      As for the inarticulate speaking that dominantes Kosovo these days, the answer is No, Gjergj Kastrioti did not speak like these contemporary Kosovan Albanians because their modern speech is not authentic Gheg but a corrupt version of it...you can't have "o" just everywhere for God's sake...If the name of the hotel is GrAnd, saying "Hotel Groooondi" is not a "Gheg way of saying it" but rather a deviated speech...or "Dronofile"...there has got to be slund "a"somewhere..... even we the Malesors say Dranafile and use the sound "a" ...for exampe.we dont say "kom" but "kam"...we dont say "jom" but "jam"...so using "o" almost everywhere wherw u shpuld use the sound "a" is not Ghegh but rather a deviated or corrupt version of it (by the way Gjergj Kastrioti probably spoke our Malesor dialect, which is not the same as the modern Kosovan version of Ghegh dialect for the reasons I explained above) ....and by the way I hold Rrafshi i Dukagjinit very close to my heart, bit unfortunately it has been very much dealbanizied and decivilized in the past few decades...to much corruption in the speech, in music especially, and in behaviour....too little Dignity and Honor...too much boorishness.....you guys should do something about it...I hold my fingers crossed...also...start communicating with the rest of the world...I know some politicians among your northern neighbors are trying to keep you isolated and they are being very arrogant but still....you should defend yourselves against them with Dignity and Knowledge while simultaneously finding the Civilized people among your neighbours and make connection with them...to break the isolation....
      Paqe e Miresi

      @batodaesitiates1295 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @косово је албанија 1 I am afraid this is another misinformed position....yes, there are plenty of slavic toponyms in southern Albania but there is even more so in Kosovo (don't get me started...first the word Kosovo itself is slavic- "Kosovo polje" or "Polje kosova"- Field of Blackbirds (Fusha e mellenjeve), Bistrica, Mitrovica, Istok, Rugova klisura, Prizren, Novo selo (Novoselle), etc.etc. Certainly, Slavic toponyms does not mean that Tosks or Ghegs are Slavs....a culture should be viewed in its final and complete version and compared to other culture to see the differences and similarites....the Tosks have the same color of their traditional costumes like Ghegs and even the same ornaments on their traditional folk costumes (except for the white kilt but even some Malesor clans wore white kilts)....Is that traditional folk costume same as Slavic traditional folk costumes? No. Next, the language Tosk speak is Albanian not Slavic..next, traditional polyphonic singing- fpund among Slavs? No (only some south Slavs like Montenegrins and some Herzegovinians)....Kanga=Ganga...Next- their oral history- any tracea of Slavic culture there? Not really....So....

      @косово је албанија 1 South Albanians are mostly slavic? Sorry buddy but they are more Greek in origin, the North Albanians especially Kosovar Albanians have some slavic origin.

      @@batodaesitiates1295 Well i am an Albanian from kumanovë and we also say "jam" and so on, using the a instead of a weird o. But still Albanians in Macedonia are the Albanians with the most ottoman remnants i think (the most religious Albanians can be found here). It is really far fetched to say that they say o instead of a, when in turkish there is also an a that is often used. Languages change over time, and so does pronunciation even without outside influence. And lastly dont fucking bash your heads in because of who is a fake Albanian or who is what kind of Albanian. That's just dividing ourselves when really we should unite.

    I LOVE YOU SISTERS AND BROTHERS FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART
    BUT:
    For me, both types of music, i mentioned above, do not symbolize the REAL TRADITIONAL PELLASGIAN/ ILLYRIAN/ ALBANIAN/ DARDANIAN music.
    For ME it is one this two:
    LAHUTE
    FYLL
    Im not sure which one of them is the first BUT after this two instruments ALL of the others follows, like guitar, orchestra, etc.... :)

      I think the song it`s in old medieval Albanian dialect (Arbëresh lang.) therefore I cannot truly understand it.
      But basically as far as I understood it says:
      In the middle of the night, I am alone, and the nightingale is singing.
      And the girl as a rose of the spring, it is listening to your song.
      "Ama-ni, Ama-ni" Or "La-la-la-mi La-la-la-i" (something like mourning, sorrowing word)
      Oh friends don`t be like me, since my beloved is burning me, with her Beauty.
      My heart suddenly was delighted, when she looked at me
      My heart became u mountain, from her Beauty...
      And it goes on and on with this story... :)

You might want to listen to Xhevdet Hafizi- O bilbil, Songs from Muharrem Gurra, Isuf Myzyri etc and you will find endless values within these songs who spoke only for the beauty, nature, and love for the motherland in a romantic way.
