Perfect talk for today, Chris, and what you said about not feeling safe really hit home. My husband went to the heart doctor to be cleared for surgery after I had told him it was on the 31st, he insisted it was today at 8am. He came back angry, like it was my fault, and also angry that his pin number didn't work. (Last time I used it he was confused, and insisted it was a different number), He is 74, and not in the best of health. So he is very angry at me, saying no more card and so on. So I got very fearful that I'm going to end up destitute. In the back of my mind he is going to pass away before the 4 years are up, so that I won't get the Veteran's Survivor benefit. So yes, it was a very good day to hear this talk, in fact I may listen again. At least if he dies, I won't be having to spend money on cigarettes. Whenever he gets upset, I always jump to conclusions that he is not going to give me money, and so on.
Sorry to hear about your husband, Carol. That sounds very tough for you. I'm glad the video was able to help in some way. I can definitely relate to that fear of being destitute etc, but I'm glad it hasn't driven either of us to a smoke :)
Chris, I have one question I don't understand why cigarettes still smell so good to me I have so many neighbors that smoke I think it's the single hardest thing walking by a lit cigarette for me, huge trigger
Do you think that a nonsmoker can help a smoker to quit? I wanna help my friend. I have read Easyway, watched half of your and other TH-camr's videos about smoking. But the problem is that he lives in Turkey and i live in Azerbaijan (different countries)
Absolutely I think it's possible - so many people feel they're alone in their quit, so having someone supporting them on their journey will come as a big help. One step at a time it can be done :)
Tornado was the word I couldn't think of! I kept seeing the movie 'Twister' in my head but couldn't articulate it! :-D
I knew what you meant 😉
@@mgouley I'm glad one of us did ;)
This is one of the best videos ever.
Thanks Jolene :) Hope you're doing well!
