Why did you spend so much time smoothing the timber off? My lorikeets love chewing timber & giving it their own personal touch, especially if building a nest. The nest building/modification seems to act as a bonding activity for the couple too
Hey there I live in Greenvale, Melbourne, Australia. I'm quite keen on breeding my two rainbow lorikeets and I was just wondering how much this nesting box will cost including postage? And any tips on speeding up the breeding process if you can will be much appreciated thank you
Thanks for the video. I have some questions. a. Shouldn't the perch be replaced by a ladder to discourage Indian Mynas? b. Shouldn't there be holes in the bottom to allow ventilation?
+DaveXBTube hi Dave, this is a nesting box designed to go inside an aviary so Mynas would not be a problem. Also when they nest in the wild the trees don't have venting holes so this shouldn't be a problem

Your sawing technique, particularly the band saw, is very scary!
Lol the end😂 That’s me except messing up about 100x
Beutiful, but parrots poisoned by the glue!!!!such nests are suitable only for insect-eating birds!!!
