Quranic Verses of Regret :
1. "يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ تُرَابًا" - "Oh, I wish I had been dust!" (Surah An-Naba, 78:40)
2. "يَا لَيْتَنِي قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِي" - "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life." (Surah Al-Fajr, 89:24)
3. "يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَابِيَهْ" - "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record." (Surah Al-Haqqa, 69:25)
4. "يَا وَيْلَتَى لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا" - "Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend." (Surah Al-Furqan, 25:28)
5. "يَا لَيْتَنَا أَطَعْنَا اللَّهَ وَأَطَعْنَا الرَّسُولَا" - "Oh, I wish we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger." (Surah Al-Ahzab, 33:66)
6. "يَا لَيْتَنِي اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا" - "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way." (Surah Al-Furqan, 25:27)
7. "يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنتُ مَعَهُمْ فَأَفُوزَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا" - "Oh, I wish I had been with them so I could have attained a great attainment." (Surah An-Nisa, 4:73)
8. "يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُشْرِكْ بِرَبِّي أَحَدًا" - "Oh, I wish I had not associated with my Lord anyone." (Surah Al-Kahf, 18:42)
9. "يَا لَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا تُكَذِّبَ بِآيَاتِ رَبَّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ" - "Oh, I wish we could be sent back and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers." (Surah Al-An'am, 6:27)
