IMO the biggest tragedy of this man's life is when he dropped his racist attitudes and was murdered for it. I truly believe the world would have been a lot different had this man lived. Now, he lives as a testament to the violence of the extreme ideologies he tried to escape from.
That could be said about a lot of people that were killed. Abraham Lincoln, MLK jr., even Adolf Hitler. I can’t say I know much about MX, but he seemed to be someone that wasn’t in it to make money like many of the grifters at the time were. I’d imagine MX would denounce BLM and folks like Al Sharpton; solely looking to profit off of tragedy rather than seek solutions. I also think that some of his earlier commentary, such as the “too black” coffee analogy, is a negative aspect of his legacy that lives on today, as many activists today seem to embody the same seething hatred directed towards “cream” and believe that it’s trying to suppress them just by its mere presence.
Yes, these are 2 excerpts of speeches by Malcolm X. But putting them together like this is at best ignoring the context and at worst implying some other context. His words that followed the second excerpt directly were "This is what they did with the march on Washington".
