When this song first came out, the lyrics really inspired me to make big changes in my life. I moved to a new town, got out of a bad relationship, and lost over fifty pounds. "Drive" will always have a special place in my heart.
and 20 years later you are on the same point again... because every woman or man are searching ever the same type of partner... if they want or not...

Brandon the lead singer is a triple threat! He's an amazing singer/lyricist, poet, and artist. His lyrics are not only deep, but he plays on the words with lots of double entendres!!!😁🤘❤️🎼

This is a pretty big hit song. My daughter would hum this from her car seat when she was little..."Drops of Jupiter" by Train, and Dishwalla's "Counting Blue Cars" as well...Lol, she could hardly make complete sentences yet, but she'd hum right along with em.

I've always loved this song--can't help but sing along with it
i heard it once in the middle of the night and fell in love with it because it was exactly the message I needed at that time of my life, but I didn't get the name of it or the artist. it haunted me to the point where I thought I might have made it up.
for years I thought it was called "whatever tomorrow brings" -- which didn't help me find it.
then one day i was in the POST OFFICE and the sorters in the back were listening to music and it came on... I freaked out and asked everyone around me WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS SONG and someone told me. success!

This band is super underrated. You guys should do more of their music. They are one of the very few elite bands that actually sound the same as their studio sound…Theyre amazing live. One of the best live bands ever.
This song is about creativity IMO. It is them saying "stop listening to the same music as your friends" " stop bashing creativity without due process. Actually form your own opinions and thus be almost enlightened by this change." The adventure of this bands career and the timing of this song create a message to the world about what they stand for.
That’s a good analogy to use for it, for sure… but it’s a bit deeper than that, he’s talking about life in general.. be your own being, take control of your life, do what makes you happy overall. Don’t let others influence you and control the direction you take in life in every aspect.. make the art you wanna make, dress how you want, love the music you love etc… it’s a broad concept that applies to all aspects of your life 👍👍

I love this song. It IS super catchy but the words have great meaning to me. A very motivational song for individualism and controlling one’s own life. “Morning View” from 2001 is my fav Incubus album. I listen to it all the time.
Had never been into Incubus but do like this song and it's message.
So many from their catalog.. this album make yourself is amazing… but trustfall, black heart inertia, absolution calling, admiration, the warning.. just some of their best
If you guys like this song, check out ‘The Warmth’ and ‘Dig’ .. both are laid back tunes and have great deep meanings… Incubus is a great band, super talented across the board and have a ton of great songs

As a message, I have had days when "how about not doing living reactively in fear?" Is the last thing I want to hear. But the performance is smooth, the arrangement is very chill, that way less aggressive about it and the acoustic guitar makes it feel more folksy and thus more real/legit.

The video you chose sounds slightly sped up (probably to avoid copyright of course) - this song has a much more chill tempo. But either way it's still a great song! I was 16/17 when this came out, so you can imagine how big of a jam this was for me!
