Christina Aguilera isn't over singing as much as she's showcasing her talents and what she loves to do. I love when she adds a little more sauce to her songs. Because it shows me, she's feeling her music and she's not playing it safe. I remember back during her back to basics tour, she cried on stage while singing "beautiful" though she was pregnant it showed me, she's not lip sync, like Prince said, "My mic is on".
+ Not to mention that this requires true musicianship (to improvise) different ways of singing the same song, on the rip, on the spot, as you go along. This is why she is one of my faves. Because let's face it. Recycled vocals get stale after a while, time after time, after time. Like shit, surprise me! And Christina delivers.

Prince, oh yes. I feel like she feels she has nothing to prove anymore, so is a lot better at choosing when to go whole hog, and when to keep it simpler and show the softer side to her voice.
Even when she over sings of late, it’s seems she’s having fun with her instrument, not so much to show off only. Super playful.

Idk if she was finding her confidence cause she seemed so confident already in 2018! her technique is really good. I feel like she does whatever she goes for and I'm impressed by her C#5-Eb5's and the D6-Eb6's in 2018, gonna watch the 2019 part now though.
