Luxurious brown hair, beautiful brown eyes. megawatt smile, classy and is really a wonderful person. Whats not to like? Condolences on the death of your beloved husband Phil Donahue. I used to watch his show all the time.
I love this show!!! It is funny and adorable!! I watch it still and record it!!! Ann is cute as a button... Don is handsome and perfect for this role... Lou is so funny!! He's perfect as Ann's father!!! Thank You for playing it.... I record it too!!! They don't make tv like this anymore!!! It's a pure shame!!! ❤❤❤❤...😂😂😂...
Back in the days when our first TV was black-and-white with the tubes that you had to take in to replace and then onto color television, I always enjoyed the series That Girl. there’s something innocent and refreshing about this show and others that were out at that time for TV prime watching I just happened to stumble upon this using my iPad and thought I’d go back and watch the beginning series It would be nice if God would swing the pendulum back to life as we knew it in the earlier years prophetically things are gonna continue according to his master plan in the meantime, we can still enjoy life simple pleasures appreciate and be grateful for everything we have
Ted Bessel is on the credits but not in the show yet. Guess I need to keep watching. I remember he was in the Pilot with an Indian last name for his character.
That friend of Ann's was pushy, unfair, and unreasonable, pushing her baby on Ann. That baby cried too much. He probably sensed Ann's distractions, putting him further away from his attention receiving.
This is only the 3rd episode of the series but we already learned that neighbor Judy, a minor character, has 2 sisters Harriet and Margaret. We didn't find out until the final season that Don had a sister and he mentioned a brother (unnamed) later in the 1st season.
I used to watch this show when I was a little boy, but if course at age five I understood none of the stories. This show was obviously intended for an adult audience.
@anonymousdinosaur605 They called it something else back then. They had old electronic computer stuff that could paste things together and make things disappear. One was called Linear Overlay or something.
@@artykohl1118 The signs are real, no doubt, created by the show's props department in the studio workshop. For sure, they got permission from the City of N.Y. to post the signs up for the sake of the filming.
It's fascinating to read something like this because I feel like I'm that "bridge generation" that was young back then, but still old enough to know how things were done then - and still of an age to grasp how things have changed, like CGI and now AI. I completely get how some would think they used some early form of CGI to do the signs. If you're young enough that CGI was THE way things like this were always done, you're going to think CGI has always been around in one way or another.
Funny how an actress (Marlo Thomas) is playing the character of an actress (Ann Marie). The only hard part is Thomas must be good at her character who must act good but needs work. Confused yet?
Marlo Thomas at her most beautiful and best.
Luv that tone of baby blue on her, the boatneck really highlights her swanlike neck.

❤😊I Loved her sense of style. Fashion 😊
I wish real life was half this adorable
I’m sure you are 😊
the snobby workshop guy was also the voice of magician on frosty the snowman..
The snobby sounding guy was Billy DeWolf, a fabulous character actor! He also did quite a bit of vpice-over work, particularly in cartoons.
@@BarbaraBertkeI loved him as snooty poots Mr. Jarvis on the delightful Doris Day Show.
I was 6 years old when That Girl debuted and I had an instant crush on Marlo Thomas. 😍
You have good taste.
Me about the same and I think she was the reason for what became my "type." Her and the Cat Woman probably!

Some great episodes so far. Marlo Thomas is a fantastic actress. There looks like a fair bit of improvisational work going on with the baby.
When I watched her show I WANTED TO BE HER,THAT GIRL 😊

Billy DeWolfe plays a perfect narcissistic megalomaniac acting teacher.
Billy De Wolf specialized in playing comical, nasty, arrogant upper crust guys.
The acting coach does the voice of the magician in Frosty the Snowman!
Busy, busy, busy!
....no, he was the evil Magician.
Ha! Magician in Frosty 🤣
I loved this show she’s so pretty
There is no way I'd change the baby's clothes. Take the buggy for god's sake...that poor kid.
Marlo was sooo damn good looking !
And with quite impressive acting chops--every facial expression in the book!
I can't recall if I had ever seen who played the magician in Frosty the Snowman but his voice is a give away
Ted Bessel is on the credits but not in the show yet. Guess I need to keep watching. I remember he was in the Pilot with an Indian last name for his character.
Persky & Denoff later used Billy on 'GOOD MORNING, WORLD" (1967-'68).
I would never talk to her again
Yeah, Judy made a promise to be home at the proper time knowing how critical the timing of Ann's audition was.
His dad should have taken him and had a nurse take care of him.
Love this 🎉
Wow!10 years ago and 10 later is now 65 and 75 years where does the time go?
Can you imagine Marlo Thomas struggling to take care of a baby? 🧸
she can babysit me 🥰
Well, marlo thomas never had any children.
@@andrewscungio3200 When she married Phil Donahue in 1980, she gained 5 step children.
@riyadhrafique8377 oh right.
@@riyadhrafique8377 grown children, there a world of a difference between the two.
I would have dressed him up all right!....That baby would have been at the audition in his birthday suit, and maybe a blanket! 🤣

You’re like me in your thinking. My husband is always saying - it’s just a tv show - but man, sometimes…
So this is a different apartment the first season.
Billy De Wolfe ☃️ 🎩 😂

Marlo Thomas must be about the last surviving regular cast member of the show.
I used to watch this show when I was a little boy, but if course at age five I understood none of the stories. This show was obviously intended for an adult audience.
I'm sure Marlo gave Men of that era rated R thoughts lol .
Judy would be dropped immediately as a friend .
Who needs cordless phones when you have 400 foot chords.
They didn't use CGI to put the Marlo Thomas sign under "curb your dog." It was actually put there in real life.
was CGI even invented at this time?
@anonymousdinosaur605 They called it something else back then. They had old electronic computer stuff that could paste things together and make things disappear. One was called Linear Overlay or something.
@@anonymousdinosaur605 No, it wasn't even in anyone's imagination at this time.

How can you ever look at a shoe salesman the same after Al Bundy?
When Marlo married Phil I believe his children were older not young. She probably couldn't the care a younger children.

That is so rude, bad parenting..
Imagine if there had been an episode where Phil Donohue guest starred.
They werent seeing each other yet.

Is Marlo Thomas a wrinkled old woman now???
She's still attractive for her age .
You must be dumb
We all get old. Including you.
Goodness - what a thing to say…
Nope, a wrinkled old man, sadly.
