It seems international kpop fans act like idols such as BTS are silenced hostages to a Korean culture that is supposedly conservative and/or homophobic. Is every kpop idol merely conforming to normative straight-ness but *really* "possibly gay", unless of course they outrightly make some defining statement to the world. In trying to be social advocates, fans are creating this bizarre expectation.
