I don’t know how many still remembers an user named You with moustache but she was a hardcore love live fan and was commenting on every love live video. I don’t know if it’s something worthy for the iceberg but she left quite an impression on me and I think many others
Yeah and there was also an account called "Eli Gayase" who commented on all old Muse videos. I'm kinda sad these accounts are gone. Also a lot of old Muse videos are gone from TH-cam forever in general, which makes me so sad and angry.
a few additional fun facts: 1. Nico's father is very likely dead 2. Aqours characters are inspired by Japanese literature, example: Tsushima Yoshiko is inspired by Osamu Dazai(real name: TSUSHIMA Shuji, and have written a character named Yoshiko) 3. three words: NICO NICO KNEE 4. Keke's birthday change.....as if Shanghai incident sn't bad enough
What's your source for Yohane being inspired by Osamu Dazai? I actually wrote an essay about Osamu Dazai for university and it would kinda be funny if my favorite Sunshine girl was inspired by him, but I can't find any evidence of this.
Nice video! For the mikan incident though, I’m pretty sure that it was not necessarily because the skirt was so short but also because of the questionable lines that were drawn on it that it ended up getting withdrawn.
Nice video! tbh i hate thinking about some of these incidents but as for the shanghai event i hope most of them were just rumours but if not the agencies/staff do a good job of screening the giftboxes so the girls never have to see the gross stuff
i thought the female singer was supposed to be an older version of Honoka there to help guide her to the conclusion of keeping muse specifically school idols
Is it weird to say that I remember all the events happening in real time, that were talked about in this iceberg?? I have been here for a long time.....
@@honkhonk1712 Yeah, my problem is that the TH-camrs shown in the video only made content about the mobile games, which I'm not really that interested about. I played them myself extensively during a certain period in life, but let's be serious, constantly having the same gameplay and playing the same songs over and over get's boring after like 2-3 years. I always cared way more about the anime and seiyuu side of the franchise. So the only Love Live TH-camrs I watched are those who made translations of the niconamas (which is nowadays very rare and basically non existent, in part thanks to Lantis who copystrikes a lot of those videos). Anyways "imiwakkanai" and "yurio desu" are the best when it comes to translating seiyuu stuff. There used to be other accounts like "Hanayo's rice" and "SpiritualHarashoSubs", but they've either been inactive for years, or have been completely deleted. The most famous one is Team Onibe probably, but like 90% of their TH-cam videos got deleted and nowadays they only sub the live concerts through torrents. Otherwise I would suggest "BS Anime" he makes great videos about each seiyuu, very detailed also, from their childhood all the way up to their solo careers, etc. Then there is "WatTheWut" he made amazing videos about analyzing the original Love Live anime and certain characters like Kotori, Umi, Honoka, etc. Unfortunately he quit completely 2 years ago. But yeah, almost everyone quit, or got deleted by TH-cam. I still remember EmitsunsaursRex, who did great subs, mostly about Emitsun, but there was also an NHK documentary about Muse going to Kohaku which they subbed. I still remember how they showed Emitsun going to Kanda Myojin and reading all the prayer cards people left for Muse. Made me cry every time, I'm so pissed that documentary disappeared from the internet. I can't even find the original unsubbed Japanese one anymore. Anyways, sorry for the long rant, you probably knew already about everything I've written, I can see that you're an older Love Live fan from the Muse era like me lol.
There was another one about the same time that this video was made about Mayu. I don’t remember what show she was on but she had a mark on her neck that looked a lot like a hickey/love bite. It wasn’t a well known incident because no one seemed to know about it. some people were saying it was a bruise, bug bite, pimple, ect.
One most don't realise, Honoka's design is extremely similar to the outfit Yosuke had to wear for the cross dressing pageant in the video game Persona 4 And of course much later both Mu's and Aqours received card designs where they were dressed as various Persona's from 3-5
theres one time an artist draw nsfw fanart riko x dog during season 1. ll staff tweet about that to stop that. and winter duo vote . thats greatest ship war id ever seen.
Just wanna point out that the clip at 13:40 is actually from the Seoul fanmi, they did a pretty good job but ultra oranges weren't regulated so that happened. The shanghai event was that but escalated a few times and during the kananrail.
Amazing video! You have no idea how frequently I’ve been checking this channel day by day week by week month by month waiting for this video to come out, and it certainly didn’t disappoint!
Liyuu and her antics in Love Live would make an entirely another layer in the iceberg lol. Well, my bias as a Liyuu stan does contribute to this kind of thought, but i do see her to be more entertaining than each of Kaorin, Agupon, and Chunrun (but not all three combined).
Pretty good video, but I can definitely see that if you tried to include everything, the video would be hours long. There's just so much below the water for the first 3 series. Perhaps it would've been better to separate the each of them into their own icebergs.
honestly i should’ve done that but i already wrote the script months ago and didn’t want to scrap everything. if this video does well maybe i’ll make individual ones for each group! (except liella since they are still recent)
It was so long ago but I recall seeing a bad quality video where the audience was trying to make a KananRail during Suwawa's solo in Happy Party Train but a few people didn't change in to the designated color and instead were using UOs or orange lightsticks to destroy the penlight project. I can't recall if they also did that to Yousoroad if KoiAqua was even in the setlist. Personally, I wouldn't call that throwing the girls off. It was way worse when these Shanghai people gave bottles of semen to Aqours seiyuus but not coordinating to an unofficial penlight project? That ain't bad at all and caused zero harm, people are just way too overreacting. Out of 35k people in Metlife Dome who joined the Aqours rainbow project in 5th live, there's definitely one or more people who used the wrong penlight color. So what?? Its really not that deep.
I honestly don‘t think anything like that ever happend. The only thing that really happend is what was shown in the video. Some people used orange lightsticks during Kanan‘s solo (fan project demanded that they use green), but that‘s really not bad at all since orange light sticks are supposed to be used during hype moments. If you watch Japanese concerts there are a lot of people using orange during various parts. It‘s just that this was a small venue, so it was more noticable when some people used orange instead if green. Whether they intentionally sabotaged the „Kanan Rail“ fan project is unknown. But like Arijeo said, you‘re allowed to display any color you want, there‘s no rule that says you have to follow other fans. Most of what happend to Shanghai were just rumours, mostly spread by some racist Japanese fans. They even tried to spread a rumour that Anchan cried and said that she never wants to go back to China, which is pure bullshit because she said several times how great her time there was and she started to learn a bit of Chinese. But yeah, a lot of Love Live facebook sites plus some people on reddit decided to run with the story. I can‘t comment on inappropriate things in the seiyuu‘s gift boxes, because it‘s always possible that one idiot does something stupid, but it was definitely not a fan effort and it shouldn‘t matter anyway because the gifts get screened by staff before they give them to the seiyuus. So yeah, in short, everything you can read about the China fanmeet in English mostly comes from a single source, some racist Japanese guy on Twitter and unfortunately a lot of English Love Live fans decided to spread the rumours into the English speaking fandom without double checking. Love Live Wikia on Twitter was one of the few channels that told people to stop spreading false rumours, but it didn‘t doo much. Some people belive those rumors to this day unfortunately. And Chinese fans definitely don‘t deserve such reputation cause they‘re generally great. I sat beside two Chinese fans on the first day of Love Live fest and they were super nice. That one Japanese guy who started all those rumors is an asshole. That‘s all I can say.
I don’t know how many still remembers an user named You with moustache but she was a hardcore love live fan and was commenting on every love live video. I don’t know if it’s something worthy for the iceberg but she left quite an impression on me and I think many others

Giftboxes are screened all the time - they even outright refuses any liquids, or food items that are open.
Omg yes the Shanghai event rumours were so bad....some being from bad gifts to stalkers finding their hotel room numbers. It was weird
i guess we can add the existence of sif 2 (that one global release tweet😭) to this iceberg too lmao

Same, except for the TH-camrs because I never cared about them.

god this video made me feel old
should we include LLSIFs weird song cuts like how fuyu ga kureta yokan skips one line for no reason

So glad to see a love live iceberg!

it turned out that nico equal love live was talking to minors. My friend was one of the minors he was talking to. She was 15 at the time.
maaaaaaaaaan why does everyone gotta be a groomer😭
looks i got beat to the punch. great video!
13:22 that's the part
Great video!
As an autistic person myself, I agree with the autistic Rina headcanon
If your video and Oshi no Ko have taught me anything, it's that Neolithic slavery is probably a more enjoyable lifestyle than being an Idol in Japan.
I HATED the punishment illustrations…
That was such a weird time in Love Live history
Does anyone know if there's video of the Shanghai incident, especially with how they were throwing off the girls while singing.
