Congrats! I worked 12 years from home for a mystery shopping editing company after 20 plus years as a journalist. Went back to a daily newspaper in January- Got bored at home. I was worried because I was not sure I could still be a reporter. After the first story/day- it all came back. Do not stress about a new job. I’ve been working from home for so long, I can’t imagine going back to an office, dressing up and commuting. Although in theory my hours are flexible I generally still end up working 9 to 5 Monday through Friday, or sometimes 7 to 3. I feel more productive that way. I like to keep my evenings and weekends free so I can hang out with friends with office jobs!

Then the company will reassess their manpower needs and eliminate the "new" position. If that happens to you, remember that it's not a reflection of your job performance, it has more to do with growing pains within the company and their poor forecasting skills.
