I wanted one of those three pickup Big Al basses really bad when they were out. I played one at Bass Central in Orlando and fell completely in love with it. Unfortunately, I just could not justify buying a new bass at the time, I had just acquiried a new Stingray 5 HH and needed to maintain a happy marriage. 😄

Sounds so good. I have a Big Al 4H Bully, and whilst you don’t get the ultimate versatility of the 5SSS still is very versatile and great sound. Can really hear the difference in tones in your selections too. I really hope MusicMan bring the Big Al back out ⭐️😎🎶🇦🇺
I love it. It looks silly, like something out of the Jetsons, but once you hear that tone, the silliness stops. That thing has some serious sounds!

What a superb instrument!
What I like is that literally no matter what you set it to, it produces something fun.
Some instruments have settings I avoid because YEEESH but this one is like a stick of butter with knobs, ya can't go wrong lol even when it's clackin it makes a great clacky sound. I think if you drop the bass hard enough the magic bass elves all fall out, so treat it nice.

Great video! I would love the rear pickup and middle configuration on a stingray body or maybe a bongo body. It really reminds me of the thumb and jazzman concept Warwick developed. Sweet bass though!
I think the Sabre & the Big Al are 2 of the coolest Basses ever produced & it’s so sad that they don’t make them anymore. I feel fortunate to have scored a mint, used Sabre reissue a few years ago but thought a little too long about pulling the trigger on a sick turquoise sparkle Big Al on then it was gone 🤬

@@BullyThaKidd trolls Gunna troll. I like the concept but instead of the pointy body I'd love those electronics in a stingray or bongo body. Hell even a g&l body. But I'm a Warwick fan anyway so I'm a little biased anyhow.
