- Hello everyone!
This song was requested quite a lot, it was one of my favorite songs to dance to when I was little! This song is one that I hold dear to me.
I've found myself listening to a lot of nostalgic and upbeat music recently, and I hope this helps liven your spirits a bit if you're feeling a little blue.
"Sh-Boom" (sometimes referred to as "Life Could Be a Dream") is an early doo-wop song by The Chords. It was written by James Keyes, Claude Feaster, Carl Feaster, Floyd F. McRae, and William Edwards, members of the R&B vocal group the Chords, and published in 1954.

Real beauty doesn't need embellishment. Like I always say: "If she's got the X Factor she doesn't need the Max Factor."
Make up only serves to hide true beauty more often than not. A womans main beauty attribute is lovely clear skin, which is, unfortunately, so often hidden by goo.

If she had been around when Ed Sullivan was on the air she’d be an instant world sensation!
I was thinkin the same. Too bad that so much real talent gets soo overlooked with undigestable crap being feed to youth today.
Doubtful. The technology to clone herself 5 times wasn't affordable or practical and otherwise she would just be a girl with a guitar who sings well.

IF... She, Allison, DID make something, like this, using the quite advanced film techniques that were available during the 50,s ... say, supposing She worked in advertising or a small production company. THEN, She got it to , say , Allan Freed... or some talent promotion company.. and, considering She is proficient in several instruments, and probably a good dancer.... THEN... She would be in a good place for a successful career in entertainment. She has got a lot of talent.

I always think of my favorite scene in the movie “Clue” every time I hear this song!

So well done. I have never heard such talented and lovely quintuplets before.
Nicely done, and I'm glad you included the bridge, which most recent singers have left out. The first record I ever bought (a 78-rpm) was Sh-Boom.
that’s pretty cool. I got a ton of records from my grandparents but a lot of them haven’t really aged well lol. (I mean that goes for all time periods I think. I love it when a young person like Ms. Young does an ancient song so well.
"Sh-Boom" (sometimes referred to as "Life Could Be a Dream") is an early doo-wop song by The Chords an R&B vocal group that recorded this as early as 1954.
In that same year, The Crew-Cuts had a hit with the song as well.
But members of the Chords wrote the song: James Keyes, Claude Feaster, Carl Feaster, Floyd F. McRae & William Edwards.
The song is considered the first doo-wop/rock song to hit the Top 10.

@@petersack5074 not really. Just because you can't relate to it doesn't mean it is not rationale. Einfach betörend - so jung, so anmutig und dann auch noch so musikalisch!
I'm wondering why she does old tunes? I mean I love this music it was only a decade before I was born . It's funny the music that somehow speaks to you, even across time. One time while on vacation in California I heard a woman playing a saw with a bow, you knew like a viola? Well anyway she was playing a song called "whisperings" . I heard it once. Once! Never forgot the melody. I was whistling it at work one day and the customer was an older gent he was and asked me how I knew the tune as he was hip to it being older too. Well, he got a kick out of the story. Cheers
Why aren't people interested in all sorts of music anymore? When I was a teen in the Seventies obviously we listened to our music but we were fascinated with roots from blues to jazz to country.
