That’s why Frank’s decision to leave the internet was the best conclusion he could have done. He remained as the lovable youtuber of that time. He also became more popular in the music industry as Joji than Ian could have been
It's definitely a difference in growth as a creator, he was finished with filthy frank and went on to new endeavors, iddubz has the problem of constantly complaining about his past content and chastising his previous viewer base for thinking he was funny
George had his own problems, but he's an actual real, good person. So people like him. idubbbz is a shittier person now than he ever was when making the "edgy" content.
Joji never shit on the fanbase that raised him to stardom. He made a graceful exit that most understood. His music isn't for me, but I can respect the need to move onto something new
I find it hilarious that Sam had 100% the right gut feeling that Ian wanted to punk him with that documentary and slam dunked the twerp. It was pure instinct back then but hindsight shows that it was absolutely the best thing to do. Guy has that 6th sense for conniving dweebs like Hans Landa.
@fernandoemh you just pulled an essay out of your ass that's kinda off point. I hate neo-nazis, but I find jew jokes hilarious. Have you ever considered the crazy idea that some people find that saying terrible shit is funny? There's no deeper meaning behind it. We just think words that are frowned upon are funny. Before you come back at me with, "your probably alt-right and don't know it" I'm a libertarian who was raised in catholicism but have since walked away from it. I just think it's funny man, there's nothing deeper to it.
No way Tana owned to her mistakes and said Idubbz didn't need to apologize, that's kind of insane, I wouldn't have expected this behaviour from either of these people ever.
Hell must have frozen over. I would never have predicted iDubbz to take his wife's last name and cuck himself while all the people he roasted became better people
She was a teenager for a lot of her dramas and at the peak of her fame, its pretty typical for people to reflect and cringe back on stuff as they get older
@brotbrotsen1100 i dont really keep up with what she does so I'll take ur word for it. She's not necessarily a better person, but yeah its still normal to cringe at stuff you did when you were a teenager
The ultimate irony in all this is Tana somehow learning the lesson that idubbbz was trying to teach the entire time, while he simultaneously somehow forgot it completely.

Don’t feel bad for him at all. Jidion and other streamers offered them $200,000 to reinstate Froggy Fresh and they refused. That’s $200,000 that could have gone to charity and they would rather power trip and be petty, as well as losing all of creator crash money.
Didn’t it end up getting a lot higher than $200k by the time everyone said they’d donate to have Froggy reinstated? Ian was weak af for turning that down.
@@SSSoM3 You could say that about the event in general though. Why hold an expensive event? The people who paid for tickets or PPV could just give that money to charity.
They couldve used Sam as the WWE style heel. They couldve pretended they hated him for the show, and use the controversy as clever marketing. Banning Sam was the wrong move.
Big time, like everyone can see it was a stupid decision but them and trying to pass it off as "bad for the brand" lol f**k off we know exactly what that means "we have the power to remove you because you said a thing we don't like". Hmmm I wonder who that sounds like.
I think with the Sam Hyde drama the important context people miss is *Sam didn't shoot first.* Up until he was banned last second Sam was as polite and cordial with Ian as he could've been, arguably moreso than he should've. It was only until after being repeated punked and fucked over by Ian did Sam start hitting back hard. You can argue whether Sam was a bit too harsh on him and Anisa or not but honestly I do not blame him given the shit Ian put him through on multiple occasions.
Strange as it sounds, it actually makes sense. Sam was even up for supporting Creator Clash's promotion (as he stated during the Brendon Buckingham interview), but Ian insisted on punking him because of the old copyright strike grudge he had against Sam.
21:49 considering that Anissa’s mother moderates her daughters twitch chat and ‘protects’ her from ‘trolls’ so her daughter can show off her cans without meanies butting in, it’s not surprising she lashed out at FF nor that she titled her Twitter handle as “The Pied Piper”…. Just an example of a helicopter mom who is a control freak without any shame - is it any surprise how Anissa turned out?
It's even more hilarious when you realize they're supposed to be from a Muslim family lol. Then you have members of Anissa's own family who contacted Sam Hyde to tell him that she doesn't give a flying fuck about her Dad and used him as some kind of a prop to talk about how important Alzheimers research is to her, so she could appear as the benevolent philanthropist with a personal reason for her goal of eradicating one of the worlds worst mental diseases... when in fact, it's about money and social influence.
Im not one of those “Anisa ruined idubbbz” people but it is objectively hilarious how often she talks about being on top of things, bragging about her educational experience, and is the ‘brains’ behind every single operation ever, yet she can’t even get on camera and talk about this event with Ian lmao
Anisa is a dumb chick that has lived off e-celeb clout for over a decade. That's why she met Ian. It's not her fault Ian was dumb enough to pay this clout chaser to bail on the 3rd internet famous guy she pole vaulted from to him. That's 100% Ian's lack of common sense, which isn't shocking because the man didn't think random videos yelling slurs wouldn't gain him some infamy, and the idiot also wants to gain infamy by insulting people that had tolerance for him.
Everyone is allowed to "grow and evolve", but they must also extend that grace to others. Ian could've easily avoided the drama by actually just evolving his content and letting his fanbase mature than just turning around one day and shitting on them.
I think that to say it's mature is also wrong. People forget that idubbzz didn't just say edgy stuff like a kid in a old school cod lobby. He would often talk about how only privileged western people get so upset over buzz words because their life's have become so sanitised it's turned them into emotional children. Which is true Now he's saying that if you like mature humour, your some how now immature. All the evidence shows that old school Idubbzz was way more mature
I love how when it was being promoted it was "me and Anisa" but after it failed it turned into just "I screwed up" lmao the eternal cuck can't catch a break.
feels more like he escaped a swamp that is trying to devour him again. I don't understand in the slightest how one can see this shit and not think that the "commentary community" just gives of the vibes of a swath of terminally unwashed virgins. Makes me genuinely feel icky
I feel like you glossed over the text exchange between Ian and Froggy. Ian was being a limp dicked, whiney, spineless, indirect snail. Froggy repeated asked Ian for an answer if he would be kicked off Creator Clash for training with Sam Hyde. Ian never gave an answer, instead just talked about his feelings and how Sam is a meanie. Neutered doesn’t even begin to describe what Anisa has done to Ian.
I believe his entire channel was a character until he became a bitch. Pretending to be this cool edgy guy for content while he’s really looking for the first woman he can find to fuck him with a strap on. Long story short, he’s always been a little avoidant pussy. It just took him to get some pussy to flip flop sides.
I did NOT expect for Tana Mongeau to show so much self reflection to even say that she deserved that. Wow. That just shows even more in what a Mental State ian is nowadays..
Paris Hilton mentored tana so she's still playing the trashy bimbo still but I know ppl who are friends w her and she's apparently pretty business minded so good for her
Let me just say: that clip of Tana owning up to her mistakes is great and i hope that she is genuine about it. I feel like that should have been the ultimate goal of content cop cause lets be honest: sometimes people need that harsh and immediate rude awakening to realize their faults.
The problem with Ian is that despite him claiming that he simply just grew up and became mature he sure doesn't act like that at all with his response to Froggy being petty as hell, him repeatedly punking on Sam despite Sam having at first been very friendly towards him even after the documentary and him blaming everyone but himself for the failure of Creator Clash 2.
i think the problem is the dude, a fully grown and matured adult who only has a name due to being edgy, tries to pretend the shift was from personal growth and not just avoiding having his checks stop coming, or getting some strange from some who you can buy for $5
I think Ian has handled this really poorly but I don’t think Froggy and Sam should be looked at as the reasonable ones here. If Ian wants to grow up and stick to hosting events then that’s fine by me, I just wish he would stop addressing drama. His best coarse of action is to start fresh with a new channel focused on what he wants to do now, and to leave the idubbbz channel preserved as it is.
Mature people teach you how to be more mature. They are patient in how they shepherd growth in others. Do not be like Ian. He had a chance to keep his integrity while doing art that pushed the envelop in other ways. Like Kanye… He had a chance to go from aesthete to moral man to something more divine. It’s too bad. If only he read Kierkegaard or the Bible. If only.

There's still 100 things I can and do hate her and many others for. It’s genuinely hilarious that Anisa took all of the spotlight for the successful aspects of the first CC and made Ian take all the heat for the failures of the second one. This guy genuinely needs help. I feel like she’s keeping him chained up in their basement when he’s not on camera.
She came up with the idea for the Tana con video, she now regrets it as Tana was like 18 but still. It's weird that they've been together forever but now that she is more on camera she is suddenly "holding him back"

I can not believe you glossed over Anisa saying he shits himself. that alone was enough for me to jump on the "dump yoko ono bro" train, imagine living with someone willing to do that to you.
Again, the entire issue with the Froggy / Ian text exchange is that Ian did not give a firm answer of what would happen, likely on purpose. He was too much of a pussy to simply say "Froggy, I do not want you associating with Hyde. If you continue, you will be kicked from the event." That's it, that's all he needed to say. Entire thing would have been avoided.
Nah I felt like he was abundantly clear. iDubbbz said “hey man I really don’t want you working with Sam, but if you’re gonna train with him then I want you to do x, y, and z” and Froggy effectively said that he didn’t care how he felt and was gonna do what he wants. If you tell the literal *event organizer* that you’re not gonna follow their rules or listen to them then what do you expect to happen? I was initially on Froggy’s side when I first heard he got dropped, but after seeing the texts? I genuinely don’t understand why he was at all shocked about being dropped.
@@slipperyquark3885 He didn't say that though. He just kept saying "why are you doing this?" "You can do it 100%, but it makes me uncomfortable." There was never a specific "I do not want you doing this." It was vague and milquetoast responses.

one thing that really shows anisas true colors is how when something is successful like creator clash one shes in every interview, every video, shes basking in it. When something fails or theirs backlash shes totally silent letting ian take the fall and get all the hate. its supposed to be her event too.
Looking through Ian's channel now feels like walking through a graveyard, most of his regular uploads now don't even reach a million views, while just 3 years ago he would get minimum 4 million per video. It's so hard to believe now how there were at least 5 million people online used to refer to this guy as the "king".
Ian's new direction while outwardly appears more "matured and measured" is really just him falling in line and losing what made him special. he was on the edge without ever actually giving off vibes that he was a closet rasict or sexist or anything. Just a young guy doing dumb shit because it's fun and hoping there's an audience for it. and then he started calling people out on their shit. and it was great. But good things never last.
he never came off as even a hint racist. Real racists do not use slurs as jokes, they are weapons to be used against minorities so by muddying the meaning and bite behind them they are effectively neutering themselves and their "big guns."
it's only "mature" for progressive radicals, and those people are not creative, funny, or smart, nor they have any backbone. they are in every way literal parasites

I personally believe creator crash should’ve had fights that the Internet wanted to see, like boogie versus wings was perfect and if they made a leafy versus iDubbbz they would’ve made a loads of money.🐱
Imagine how stupid you have to be as a YT entertainer to lean into the fighting aspect like you're MMA when anyone with two brain cells knows that your audience want to see WWE.
After Leafy made video joking abt the situation, I told my friend I had a feeling that Idubbbz would do a 180 and take down his old content cop videos that made him famous. Cant say Im surprised.
True, but I don't think there's really anything he could have done. There's no good "pivot" for his channel. I think he made the right call on dialing back on the edginess, but when you've built your whole brand on said edginess... you run into a pretty glaring issue. There's nowhere to go from there 🤷♂
Hear me out, idubbzz you can morally denounce and disagree with yourself later in life, without jerking around some guy that's doing a similar thing. If you didn't wanna support him, you should've never done a video of that nature.
he would do a disparaging video about anybody if he had the opportunity, he wanted to use sams knowledge of him and goodwill against him. he gets some money and then goes around wanting to exploit peopl for more
Of course Harvey would defend Creator Clash so hard. It's his bread and butter. I hadn't heard or seen him in over a decade and literally forgot who he was until I saw Sam Hyde was training him for the first Creator Clash. And here's where he made a miscalculation. He thought it was the event that got him so much more attention but it was really him training with Sam. I didn't hear about ANY other person who was boxing besides Harvey and it was only because of Sam Hyde.
The funny thing is, Harley training with Sam Hyde for those two weeks and making content on it performed the best on his channel for the first time in many years.
True, but could he have made more ridiculous point about the 100k? Like yeah dude, the 100k had conditions attached to it. So no, he keeps his 100k to do whatever the hell he wants with if that criteria isn't met. You know, that's what a condition is haha. It's crazy someone can be that stupid to not see that's a terrible argument.
My thoughts are that Ian should have done this 5 to 6 years ago because it would seem more genuine and it’s pretty fishy that It took him to get a OF girlfriend and the ad pocalypse to apologize and I think that alongside his overdramatic wording makes him come off as pretentious

It's more of just not underestimating your audience. Anyone who paid attention to old slur call/edgy idubbbz knows that he'd openly mock anyone who tried using the n word as some sort of joke through the unboxing series. Most of people could enjoy his old content without turning into bigots. @@fightvale57 for anyone else it wouldn't have been an issue, but not for Ian. Between the overlap of people interested in him and Sam, and the total lack of hype the event had outside of the Froggy Fresh drama, it seems like there are very few "pure Idubbz fans" left. With how intertwined the two have been, I think it was a >$250,000 mistake to invoke "popularity contest" rules, staking his event on his likeability, all while tell his old fans (a.k.a. long time supporters) that he hates them.
Ian 100% was going for a hitpiece on Sam. He saw Sam as low hanging fruit and simply underestimated him. That documentary is what really turned me off of idubbbz. Prior to this his videos were all quality critiques of fellow content creators, but that doc was the turning point and his content has gone downhill ever since. The only chance for a comeback is dumping the succubus and diving back into the documentaries. I truly hope he figures all that out.
I don't know, I felt like Full Force was pretty low for him too. Going to someone's mom's house and pretending to be his friend while occasionally "jimming" the camera, going into the car later to say some mean shit, then end it all by pretending it was a wholesome experience when he'd been making an ass of AirsoftFatty for a solid 30 minutes.
The main issue with Creator Clash 2 was definitely the roster. The only 2 new ones I actually knew and cared about at all was Chris Ray Gun vs Froggy Fresh, which, yknow. Last year had at least ONE creator in each fight I recognized, were extremely popular or relevant online at the time, or weren’t just big by proxy of someone else. No offense to Starkilla, but who the fuck gives a shit about watching “the guy who helps on H3Podcast?” As for Ian, his issue isn’t that he changed and ended up regretting and disavowing his old content. It’s that he is doing it in such an awful way while making nothing new besides creator clash, which isn’t really the same. He either talks about drama, hating his old self, or hating his old fans and that’s it. He has just become hating himself and his fans with nothing else. He needs to focus on making interesting content again, and instead of focusing on the drama about how he has changed and grown, actually fucking do something. Nobody likes a person who only talks about how mature they are now and nothing else, it’s sad and pathetic. I also think he has an issue with giving up too easily. With his what’s in the box series he started it, saw it did bad, and instead of changing he gave up. His documentaries were really good content, but as soon as he got called out for how the Sam Hyde one went, he gave up on that too. I think that’s why he was so proud of himself in his CC1 fight, he didn’t give up even though it was clear he would lose.
Yeah, It's fitting that not only do people theorize Anissa has his balls in hand at all times, but that she seems to use her grip on him to literally hang him upside down and use his scraggly hair as a literal mop. Man can't seem to get the shit she cleaned him up with out.

idubzz and Ethan Klein are two really good examples of good TH-camrs who have absolutely fallen off. Both need to take HUGE breaks and fix their lives.

@@TeamSprocket I didn't fanboy, I'm just telling it like I see it. Your comment is super aggressive for no reason. Calm down. I don't care if you like the content or not and I'm not trying to change your mind. I never made the argument that the content is for everyone. I was just saying that "absolutely fallen off" is not a good take. Compared to many other podcasts, the H3 podcast actually appears to have a higher production value. Ethan has employed a crew, created a set, and set up an actual professional quality broadcast studio (switcher with at least 8 camera inputs, broadcast delay, etc.). To say that this is "lukewarm" in quality just doesn't make sense. You HAVE to at least acknowledge that on a technical level, the H3 Podcast meets or exceeds what viewers can expect from most TH-cam shows. "Bankrupt" in creativity is your opinion so I can't really argue that too much. The content keeps me entertained, but I can admit that a lot of the stuff isn't particularly unique. It's a drama/gossip centric podcast with an emphasis on comedy. Not really groundbreaking stuff here but I think that Ethan runs a show that delivers this type of content in an entertaining way. And let's face it, most of what your favorite TH-camrs/Streamers are doing isn't always the most groundbreaking content either so it's not really a strong point. The H3H3Productions channel is retired and he's stated this multiple times. The podcast channel is his main channel and they post content 4 days a week. These are produced multiple hour shows that have actual segments. There is also a members stream once per week that is basically a traditional single streamer livestream. I would say that a lot of the segments that they have prepared on the H3 podcast rival the quality of his old uploads on his old channel, but that's a matter of taste. I don't think you can question the effort here. Every single upload on the H3 Podcast channel has over 500k views with the strong majority of them reaching the 1M view mark. These are fantastic numbers. Not to mention the crazy amount of retention they get on such large uploads, and their average number of live viewers being over 40,000. Although the views aren't as large as some of his old videos, the impact that his show has in the online ecosystem is undeniable.
Anisa is literally the type of person iDubbbz would make a content cop on, she fits the profile of the people he picked perfectly, instead he chose to marry her and lose all credibility.

If that woman ever breaks up with Idubbbz, he's pretty much fucked. Right? I mean, Tom doesn't show it, but those Discord messages that got leaked of Anisa saying she wanted to break up with Ian, and him pretty much pleading to her to stay with him, I can only image how much of an emotional disaster that will be should they decide to split. It seems like this is the first proper romantic relationship Ian has ever been in, and because he's become so emotionally attached to it, he's willing to make whatever compromises necessary to keep himself to her. It screams unhealthy. But I'm playing armchair therapist here.

The whole “processing trauma” thing shows just how much of a wimp idubbbz really is. Even if the event didn’t lose a quarter million, that money toward “processing trauma” (expensive after parties) could’ve gone to charity hypothetically.
For real! Ian threw two separate Hug Me parties because he was sad he got hit in the face and that his friends went home and went back to their lives after the first event ended.
Sam Hyde is truly the human embodiment of "We do a little trolling". And frankly Ian could probably use a little trolling, because he takes himself way too seriously.
Ian told us literally that he banned Froggy for associating with Sam... Everyone knows guilt by association is absolutely retarded and even evil. That's why nobody took his side. Also, ironicly all Ians attempts to get rid of Sam made Sam more famous again
@@AribbonofsoundmenSadly the case. Anytime it’s brought up it’s dismissed as misogyny. Really shows the double standards we have in society. We’re a long way from actually having gender equality
that part where Sam says "the elderly and the disabled" and the crowd go completely silent, so he follows it with "cause we're just gonna kill 'em!", and the crowd STILL stays silent, so he says it literally again lmfao.
Ian both sunking his failing career while pumping Sam Hyde's on a single video has to be the funniest backfire ever. I'm not a fan of any of em two, but to see Hyde not only bite back against someone that at the time was bigger than him but catching the tailwind of the attention and turning it into a career comeback makes me happy for him.
My biggest thing is that Ian claims to hate his past and despised his old self and the content he made, but it’s still on his channel as a source of revenue.

Ian and Ethan have become the biggest hypocrites on youtube. Watching their downfall is great and the only thing i look foward to, when it comes to them, is their inevitable backtracking.
They're both so disappointing. I'm not even sure who annoys me more. Ethan is someone who ONLY goes for easy targets and then acts like he's so smart for coming out on top. Then Ian is so staunchly against his past that he's essentially turning into a bot. It's almost like he's lost. Has anyone ever pointed out the comedic value in the article calling Sam Hyde an alt right extremist being written by a dude with the last name “Bernstein”
Something that is relatively minor in the grand scheme of things, but also I’m surprised you didn’t mention considering you referenced these creators throughout the video is that Froggy wasn’t the only person to be in the original card that didn’t end up making it on. I Did A Thing suffered a concussion during training, so his fight with Fitz was called off and they didn’t bother finding a replacement for him, unlike for Froggy where they replaced him with some random dude (with a shorter timespan to do so btw). Considering you allude to the fact that Fitz and I Did A Thing were the most popular creators on the card, this probably persuaded substantial amount of viewers to not bother watching/buying the fight.
Look I haven't really put my voice in on this but coming from a man who feels like he relates to Ian on a lot of cases. That man grew up without a mother, and for so long had no one, then this woman comes along, fucks him good, and marries him. He is so fucking whipped it's undeniably sad, I understand he lusts for this woman and all but he went so goddamn far with it all. Women will make a man crazy.

@@filthforceHey it’s you again, you keep bringing up that skinner Vaush when people are talking about Sam. Is Sam supposed to box Vaush or something? I don’t get it.
The most interesting thing about Ian is that he’s a perfect little case study in the whole “nice and brand-friendly inoffensive broad appeal guy who is secretly sociopathic” vs. “niche actually funny semi-offensive but minds his own business guy who genuinely likes people he gets along with” dichotomy of internet content creators that we constantly see (eg SuperMega)😊
I never use the words beta or c*ck but my god that segment where Ian was talking about "Muh trauma" is definitely up there. And then the apologies to the the content cop "victims" just solidified it. Something about moving to LA makes people a shell of their former selves and warps their minds. They always become high horse riders, lose any sort of morality that isn't the fake "Just Be Kind, man" sentiment, and look devoid of any happiness or life. Also, kicking Froggy off for comments about Anisa's mom isn't understandable because she started it and if Ian was really that upset about it, just step in the ring and fight him yourself. Good vid though.
Maybe if more people were kind they wouldn't look so devoid of life. He just wants to be a good person and wants others to be good as well. Instead people berate his wife and make fun of him for what he did half a decade ago. I don't think its "high horse riding" to say "yeah I probably shouldn't have said slurs in the past for comedy, and I didn't really enjoy making hit pieces on people, regardless if they deserved it or not." I don't even like idubbbz, I just hate how many people seem to hate him for just being a good guy.
@CentiPlays You don't know what you are talking about, and you are an idiot for saying something beyond your knowledge. Ian isn't a kind reformed person. He is a toxic asshole that switch from being negative to positive. His kindness is fake and he wants everyone to be kind only to suit his interest. To be fair when I have trauma I need to process the first thing I usually do is bankrupt myself by throwing a karaoke party for my rich friends I barely even know with dollars people donated to me in the name of charity as well.
This reminds me of some weird elementary school drama where you get jealous of your friends for hanging out with someone you don’t like and threaten to not be their friend anymore just with a bit more complex elements added.
Except it's where hanging out with that friend turns you into a completely different person. Where you go from being funny and interesting to being a guy who shits himself, isn't allowed to make jokes anymore and doesn't curse all of a sudden. Oh and remember the way you used to make fun of people whoring themselves on the internet? Yeah well that's allowed now because their friend does that.
It’s not even about the sam Hyde situation, but how Ian screwed people over at the last minute over small stuff and wasn’t willing to work with people based upon stuff that he used to do himself.
That’s why Frank’s decision to leave the internet was the best conclusion he could have done. He remained as the lovable youtuber of that time. He also became more popular in the music industry as Joji than Ian could have been

No offense to Starkilla, but who the fuck gives a shit about watching “the guy who helps on H3Podcast?”
As for Ian, his issue isn’t that he changed and ended up regretting and disavowing his old content.

Ian and Ethan have become the biggest hypocrites on youtube. Watching their downfall is great and the only thing i look foward to, when it comes to them, is their inevitable backtracking.
What money and simp ideology does to a man
They're both so disappointing. I'm not even sure who annoys me more. Ethan is someone who ONLY goes for easy targets and then acts like he's so smart for coming out on top. Then Ian is so staunchly against his past that he's essentially turning into a bot. It's almost like he's lost. I guess Ethan's more irritating since I think he clearly knows what he's doing, whereas Ian maybe just lost himself.
@@xSnarfsx The cult of personality Ethan built around himself makes him worse in my opinion. H3's subreddit might as well be a digital version of Jonestown.
Shame that Ian is actually likeable 😢

That was so obvious and convenient it only makes it even more funny 🤣
Good ol' Viewtiful Joe

I think one sentence to describe why this happened is: Man chooses ego over money.

@@CentiPlays If only we did good so we wouldn't do bad. Why do we subscribe to kicking puppies when we could make a flowerbed instead?
@CentiPlays You don't know what you are talking about, and you are an idiot for saying something beyond your knowledge. Ian isn't a kind reformed person. He is a toxic asshole that switch from being negative to positive. His kindness is fake and he wants everyone to be kind only to suit his interest. When it comes to actually being kind and sacrificing anything Ian and Anisa leave the room. Which is why in the same breath he talks about how he is a good person he will just also mock the Boogie and Wings fight for both of them being fat.
