The comment "tragically cheap" is horrifically accurate. They are incredibly regal animals and should be priced as such. Many of the conventions I've been to have had them available for approximately the same price as ball pythons, and often times uneducated people are in attendance. I deeply appreciate Clint's non-bias assessments, and honesty, hopefully anyone considering one of these amazing creatures watches this!

He is honest and really cares for our safety and that truly says something about someone. He makes the videos fun and entertaining and even does things like hold giant reticulated pythons so we can get a understanding of what we would be dealing with. You can also see in his eyes while he is making videos and speaking to us that he is really enjoying what he is doing and It's so rare you find that, its awesome to see not gonna lie. Mine used every inch of their 10x4 cages and could have used bigger.
I used a regular square headed shovel for cage cleaning; they drop turds on par with a constipated linebacker.
My biggest could handle a 30-40 lb pig or goat; that was...exciting.
I loved working with them but I'm glad to not anymore too. I miss them but damn it was a major commitment.
Used a large rubbermaid tank (like a 40 gallon one) with a large cinderblock in it to help avoid tipping.

Retics are amazing animals, my Jampea dwarf female had a bit of her beech chip substrate stuck in the side of her top jaw after feeding last week. I didn't notice at first because she went straight to her water bowl for a long drink as soon as she swallowed her dinner, she then opened her mouth about 25-30° and actually regurgitated water and washed the piece of substrate from her top jaw. I have never in 30+ years of keeping reptiles seen another snake do this. I had read that retics were extremely smart but that was amazing to witness. I'm going to try and get it on tape if she does it again. Peace out!

My high-school wrestling coach/biology teacher was nearly killed by one of these. He was only saved by a few wrestlers who came in after school to see him. Classic snake around the neck; they could barely get it off.

@@oijosukeiliveinyourwalls5798 extremely true. I am not too worried about it continuing (maybe a full release of notes on berserk for some lore) because Guts was at least in an incredibly calm spot in his life right now. Even Casca was back!
      That said, 2 questions
      1. ASOIAF or the TV series
      2. Dark Souls?

Awesome video on a snake that is most definitely NOT for everybody.
Changing the subject to inverts, any chance on a video of Madagascar hissing cockroaches?
