I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

Everything that Wildcard does except optimize the game is total BS. Come on guys, just make the game playable instead of focusing on getting money out of players. Jesus Christ. Haven't played since December since y'all can't get anything right. Seriously though focus on what the community wants not what's going to make you money. Giving us a great game will go a super duper extra special way to show us that we should spend more money with your IP.

I think Wildcard or something was mentioned how Unreal Engine 5 will get an update soon to hopefully better optimize graphics and more. Not sure if that’ll help with ASA or not tho so the new UE5 update could see better optimization unless it’s all in Wildcard’s hands to actually fix the game themselves
@Biggi19 Yes it will help, with PC. WC, notoriously forgets about optimization of console game. I'm in the majority of minority, console solo player because I'm badass and need no friends lol.

they cant optimize it. its unreal 5 duty . also as for wildcards part in it. its the wrong format of game to run on unreal 5 in first place so theres nothing they can do except wait for ur5 changes and hope it helps ease the issues caused by them running a open world multiplayer server game on a engine best suited for linear, offline singleplayer games

ASA is still a buggy mess with issues we had in ASE for years, yet instead of fixing that, after they took A LOT of money on ASA launch, they keep on injecting the game with more and more p2w or other microtransaction like things players can buy. It's depresssing.
Wildcard should really be part of Ubisoft because everything they make is chocked full of micro-transactions, and more broken than a Bethesda game

"installs" doesnt necessarily mean "purchased". it could be devs installing it (with their own access codes to make it ""free'") to test it on different types of machines.

On xbox it looks worse than ASE, can barely get 5 fps maybe, structures and tames get deleted or destroyed etc. Experts say that the xbox can’t handle ark because the xbox actually has worse graphics than last gen all for the goal of better processing. But because it’s so different of an upgrade compared to Playstation or any good PC, Wildcard is forced to ignore the problems on the xbox version and pay more attention to the rest of the game. Eventually, this will lead microsoft to delist the game and refund all who bought it, because keeping a game buyable that doesn’t function to the point where some players can’t even open it looks real bad on their end. Wildcard and snail games as an extension will also likely get a massive fine large enough to tank the entire company if that happens. It would probably be an amount similar to the amount of money that gets refunded.
These are the sort of conversations people are having in the ark xbox community. And the idea that it may get delisted comes from people who work at microsoft.
Not gonna lie. I’m actually excited for the Club Ark. I feel like it will be a place to share experiences and to just relax after something going horribly wrong in the base game. Definitely a good place to unwind a bit and perhaps even make new friends and Ark buddies. Hey it could happen, you’ll never know.

They keep releasing these DLC's but they need to fix Bob's Tall Tails first. A lot of players on Xbox or windows version of ASA can no longer use BTT, when trying to access the mod skins or items you get the message that you have to buy BTT. Microsoft store confirms that you already own BTT, This has been broken since The Centre dropped.
This is why i uninstalled ASA. It's pretty, but that's all it has going for it. I'd rather play ASE, and it's no microtransactions than whatever ASA has become.
If wildcard could just produce a semi functioning game the micro transactions would flow without the hate and backlash. But yeah keep flipping a bird to normality and expecting your only source of money to keep eating your shit. Sadly seems to be working. Not for me though, fuck snail, fuck wildcard

I get why everybody is hating. I don't know what to do either, when my favorite video game franchise of all time is being handled like this. It doesnt make me feel better or worse to know that Ark is getting more paid content, because its something i used to wish for in the early days, for stuff like what Funcom and Conan Exiles was releasing. Ark WILL benefit 100 fold for more PvE content. It sucks but that's video games now. My PC can run it, so im going to play it. And at the end of the day, I will continue to play it because i love ark so much. A horrible developer can't change or take away the memories and friends I've made in this game.

I had to uninstall the game for a little bit, I haven’t been able to play the game since end of march just before scorched released. Single player keeps crashing on Scorched and The Centre and I’ve tried everything, so I give up, I’ll try to come back for Aberration but I don’t have hope it will work

Honestly, I'm excited to see how it goes. Ark isn't the best group of devs out there by no means, but they're still trying. And snail kinda has them in a chokehold.
In the same breath, i have had almost completely zero issues with my performance, and playability issues with my ps5.

I think, and I could be wrong on the larger scale, but I think if recent events have taught us anything, it's that we shouldn't be rushing these map releases! Make small things, I don't mind throwing a few bucks here and there for mods and cosmetics that help liven up my world, but the MAPS, the maps along with its creatures are the backbone! We will only get rush jobs if we demand these things too early, these maps in their ORIGINAL STATE took months, even years to be added to the base game, you can't rush these things Wildcard! Take your time, ASA was released on time, you aren't on a crunch anymore, you can shell out little paid stuff here and there for the people who want to add a little pisazz to their worlds, but the maps and creatures are the foundation, the lifeblood, give them the time and care they deserve, ASE was built over 9 years, don't try to catch up to it in 2, take your time and make something extraordinary

People complaining about wildcard adding stuff that cost money i wonder if they complain when fortnite add skins to the game that cost upwards to $20 or when cod adds the same reskinned game every year with new exciting and fun skins which do nothing atleast when wild card add something its cheap and actually helps
Yes companies have to make money, but that doesn’t change the stupidity of how snail games is handling the situation, your acting like this company has never done anything wrong, what about the fucking release dates, oh yeah remember when they promised the game come out in October for everyone, then console players and to wait another 3 months to get it, remember when they said the center was on track only to delay indefinitely at the last second. Remember when they forced the pyromane into everyone’s world instead of making the simple decision of making it a free mod so that everyone has to see it on their world. Im gonna go on a tangent cause that specific part is honestly outrageous. Now the pyromane has been added to 2 different maps forcefully so that you can’t interact with it until you buy it. Okay not a big deal it’s the center nobody likes it anyways and you barely see them on scorched. Now wait a second now, there gonna add more these, at least one for every free map. So fjordur, ragnarok, lost island, valguero, crystal isles. That’s at least 5 new payed for creatures in who knows how many maps. We already have a map on scorched earth that exists in a states in which if you haven’t bought anything extra there is 2 fully built in creatures just sitting in your world that you can’t interact with. What’s gonna when they add all the rest, there is no reason not to think that we couldn’t end up with maps with 3+ payed for creatures on them, and this is all on official servers as well. Ok so that’s that tangent, like I understand that they have to make money of course they do it’s a company. But hey wait a fucking second, maybe I’m just fucking stupid but it’s seems to me that people don’t hate all the other game developer out there who also make money, so okay what are they doing differently that allows them to make money and not keep getting yelled at by the critics. The answer is that they don’t treat the game like a damn mobile game, anybody remember when no man’s sky had you guys the game once for like 20$ and then continuously supplied it with free content over the next like 7 years, according to your stupid ass logic that should be impossible. How does any game developer that doesn’t add on in game monetization survive at all, like take fromsoftware for example, they spent years and years and years making elden ring. You had to buy the game once and then nothing else, it was like 40 dollars, but they were able to keep going because people kept buying it cause it a fantastic damn game, now we have payed for a 60$ “graphically upgrade” to ark survival evolved. What the fuck else have they added that they couldn’t have added in the first game, cross platform? Bullshit you gotta pay for a fucking server from a terrible company if you want that where as before that wasn’t close to a reality. So it’s a 60$ graphically upgrade(I’m gonna pretend like a very large percent of people who have ASA have to make the game look ass in order to actual play, to the point where it looks worse than the original but let’s look past that). Okay so it’s a graphical upgrade so not even a new game, nothing else, no nothing that they couldn’t have just added to the original, the same damn maps, the same items, the same creatures the same models the same bugs(but it’s even worse this time) the same everything. Now finally they decided to actually upgrade some of the maps with bobs tales, which might’ve actually maybe just maybe justified the 60$ this graphical upgrade costed, but instead of upgrading the maps for free as promised, there gonna make you play 30$ more for them, so now you’ve spent at least 90$ on this game just to get slightly better(debatable) versions of the original maps. And now it gets even worse because now they’re gonna add in even more paid for content onto the maps except now there gonna forcefully put it on every map for everyone, so even the official players are forced to be put into a p2w scenario and all the people don’t wanna pay for it just got a sit with the creatures on every single map, think about that every single goddman map they’re bringing to this “upgrade” is gonna have a shitload of payed for stuff, yknow what makes this even funnier, is that they used to be better, just a few years ago they were adding FREE MAPS with FREE NEW CREATURES, remember fjordur, and the fuckjng 3 new creatures that map added for free, so don’t give me this “oh wait guys it’s okay their just a company they gotta make money somehow” pile of shit. I paid them already, I payed for the 60$ graphical upgrade and I payed for the 30$ upgrades to the maps which would’ve come free in the old game anyways. So forgive me if I get a little fucking frustrated when they decide to add in more and more ways to make the game worse for me if I don’t pay them constantly, like remember when all mods were free, say goodbye to that shit, I’m glad we got the ark additions creatures we did get because all the others and all the new ones will just be put as premium mods, and all the big mods that were free in the last game, oh actually your gonna have to pay for those in this version of the game. and I would have no problem paying for it if I knew it was all going to the creatures but your but your ass they aren’t. Like genuinely what fucking reason would anybody have to get the new game over the old one, the new one has more bugs, much much more payed for content, less creatures, less maps, payed for mods that were free in the old game.
